Comment:

Dr. Paquin was one of my fave profs and I still remember I learned, some 20 yrs later. She cared about her students and made herself available to them. This was a hard class and not req'd for my major, however I found myself more interested. Yes, she demands a lot out of her students, but are students there to learn? She taught us how to learn.

Great professor. She and the other biology faculty at McDaniel prepared me well for medical school. Can't believe the comments from the light weights. It's college, people! She cares about her students but doesn't put up with slackers. If you feel Dr. Paquin is unfair you are going to STRUGGLE in the real world.

She is very nice and helpful. Even though her exams and pop quizzes are very hard, you will get used to it and understand more about the materials. Just do all objectives then you will get an A (her exams and quizzes are in there).

Some of you punks whine about this class being hard and her demanding a lot...this is biology, if it was easy, it wouldn't be great...dont be wimps, if you want to study science you need to put forth the effort...paquin is a great teacher and a model for what scientists should strive to achieve

I found this class to be a lot of work with little payoff. While the subject material was both up to date and comprehensive, I found the professor did very little to convey the subject matter effectively. I would have been better off skipping class and spending the time reading the text. One of the low points in my underdgrad experience.

Really good teacher, but demands a lot. You will know what is going to be on the test, but you better know the exact answer or else she'll bust your nuts (or respective anatomy). Be prepared to work hard and get a lot out of class.

Be prepared to work!She is a great teacher but do not get on her bad side.She expects a lot but at the end you'll know the material inside and out bc she drills into your head.Organized beyond belief and very clear of what she wants.Without a doubt one of the toughest instructors at the school but at the same time probably the best teacher too.

lots of hair... also, tons of work involved and MAKE SURE YOU KEEP UP WITH IT!!!! all in all, a good class... the style is tough, but it drills the material into your head. keep up on the objectives especially and don't skimp on studying for the tests.
