Gruber is a genius, but awfully boring!! He's an extremely sweet old man who is willing to help you one-on-one. Dont expect to understand everything he says in class, you, as well as the rest of the class, will most likely be asleep. Too bad he is retiring =(

he is one of the worst and most boring professors u can ever encounter in ur life.....definitely take this course if u want to ruin ur love for biology.....50 minutes every day of wondering how stupid u were to enroll for this course.......and his voice....... if u can ever hear u'll go off to sleep

The only way Gruber could be more boring than he is now is if he were a corpse. His voice is very monotone, he is soft-spoken, and even though he tries to explain things, he usually goes off on tangents or leaves you more confused than you started out. I fell asleep in class literally every day he taught which did not help my grade at all. :-S
