Great professor, knows what he's talking about and knows the language seriously (as well as a couple others). Must attend every class to do well, the subject is too complicated to learn on your own. He's a very fair marker and engages the whole class. Best language teacher I've ever had.

Marks pretty fiercely, but definitely knows what he's doing. Sign up with Westra if you want to learn ancient languages the old-school way. Probably a good approach, even if he marks much harder than other Latin profs (Hughes or Hume, for example).
