Best prof I've had at mac!! His lectures are so funny and easy to follow, and he's very friendly and accessible. I never feel intimidated asking questions about the material, he answers them very patiently and clearly!!! He obviously cares about his students. I looked forward to calculus because he was teaching it!

Comment:

Hans is an awesome guy and explains things very well and is always willing to help you understand things. Topology is hard and takes time to understand. He was notorious for giving brutally long and hard assignments and he gave them often. But if you put the work in you will be fine for his tests. Just go over the easier homework questions.

He seems to be quite nice and funny but I found his lectures too confusing and I didn't feel that the textbook really clarified much. Maybe it's because I lacked the analysis background. Although the prereq is 2X, I would STRONGLY recommend 3A and somewhat recommend 3E. Do not take this course if you're in second year.

Dr. Boden gave very long, difficult assignments and he gave them often. While this was incredible horrible during the term, if you do the assignments, by the end of the term you thoroughly understand the material. His examples were a lot easier than the assignment questions. He is good at explaining, so ask if you don't know how to a question.
