Comment:
He relies on the book too much yet he argues with the book which leaves students confused. He makes a lot of mistakes so don't be afraid to question him. Overall it was much more difficult than Guimond's class. The exams consists of 40 multiple choice and short answers. He won't tell what is on the exam because he makes them up last minute.

Had him as a lab professor in 2017 and he made the practicals impossible to pass. Gives you atleast 500 terms to study for and picks 50 on the practical and to top it off he is very rude if you ask for help offering none. Would not recommend if you care about getting a good grade.

He is cool. He does answers your questions about the exam. No homework. Attendance is not mandatory but obviously this is A&P so you have to show up. Memorize his notes and you'll be good. Even if you miss the class, you can catch up by classmates notes. Three total exams that you can ace by memorizing but be careful to manage your time with labora

Don't be afraid to take Dr. Dean's class! You REALLY need to study EVERY DAY for A&P, but it is very manageable!!!!! His exams are made up of his lecture notes, so minus a couple details, you don't need to read the book. Sheila, the Lab instructor is a gem! Go to Open Lab hours over the weekend! And seriously, DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE IN CLASS!!!!!!!

I took Prof. Dean's lab section. He was absolutely horrible. For one thing, he knows his stuff but is so painfully boring and also explains things to make them harder than they are. He is extremely rude & has no social skills. He will say 3 things & then go in the back room to play solitare & leaves students to figure out the rest. Miserable guy.

He has a dry sense of humor, but is funny sometimes. Don't have your phone out in class or let it go off. He doesn't do well at following along with the book so he sometimes teaches wrong thingswords. Be sure to go back and read in the book to fully understand what he's talking about. His tests are off of his notes for the most part.

Take Dr. Guimond instead if you prefer to actually learn the material. I found that Dean's notes and Dean's exams were two totally separate things. Does not like answering questions in class so try to catch him after.

Dr. Dean really did not have a good grasp on the course material. I ended up using the book a lot because his presentation of the material was confusing. He often had to check the book during lecture to make sure he was giving us the right information.

I wished I had waited to take A&P II with Dr Guimond. Yes, Guidmond is harder but he's clear on what he expects from you. I Regret taking this. He is unclear, rude, and not cut out to teach A&P. If you do take it with him, know your notes & not necessarily the material ugh. For the amount of work I put in, I failed to perform. Got a B.

Prepare to put a lot of work in this class if you want to pass. Notes are confusing. He gets annoyed sometimes when students ask questions. Exams are mostly straight from his notes. Overall, he is a fair professor.

This couse was really hard in the summer. Don't take it, unless you want to fail this class. Lab and lecture were too early in morning. Everyone done badly in this course. My GPA drop alot because of this course. A lot of work load more than Bio 111. Don't be late , go to every class. You will fall behind, missing one day. School year is better.

Make sure you show up and take notes. Tests are pure memorization from his notes, there aren't any tricks. Only time I used the book was for extra articles he made us read for tests. Took him for a Saturday AM class and while it was 3 hours of pure notes, it was tolerable

This teacher is rude, arrogant and easily annoyed. His test were not fair in that the wording was confusing. No extra credit just three very hard exams. If he makes a mistake too bad for you. There are much better profs in that dept. Avoid him if you can

Everything on the test was from his notes. He tells you how many questions are going to be from each chapter. Took him on a Saturday morning and it wasn't too bad. Just take notes and read and you'll be all set.

Taken online over winter. His hw directions are poorly formatted to the point where you have to either guess what the assignment is, or be belittled for requesting clarification. That said, there were 2 assignments, 3 exams, lowest grade dropped, and a final (open book on campus). Easy A, but id never take a full semester/any class with him again.

He was very unclear on the subject of anatomy, you should take Guimond, he is better. He rewords questions on the exam, and claims all of the material on the test is based from his notes. I suggest you read the book and don't solely depend on his notes. He is rude to students, and told me to "grow up" when I asked him for my grade.

i am taking this class online. not only does he neglect to update information, but he insults students who ask questions. had i never taken an online class before, i'd have no idea what was going on. he needs to get off of his high horse and teach.

(lab) strange humor, but willing to help those who ask questions and seek to learn. He often left us alone with little direction, but was very helpful if you inquired.
