Comment:

Professor Pappas is a nice guy that has good intentions, but is not a good professor. He is extremely random and expects you to know random things on tests. The whole class is basically random stuff he teaches, and then teaching yourself from the book. And then he gets mad when people don't answer him after 2 secs, it was just an irritating class.

He is a nice guy, but not an excellent teacher. Sometimes he does treat his students as dumb and wants to always clarify that he is smart and knows what he is doing. You have to study random trivia he gives in class because it will be on the test. Like for example ; how do you say slope in french? (really?) YES, really. See him outside of class.

He's a really nice guy but his class is SO disorganized. He says random stuff (like what his dad's name is) and you have to know it for a test. In class tests test on random stuff but is worth more than the take home which is actual math. take it if you already know high school math

The person below me says it perfectly. I am GOOD at math, but I could not follow what he had to say. He's so disorganized, he doesn't use the book, and he has random questions on exams that he never went over in class. He also tests on random trivia and talks to students like they are ignorant. I really, disliked this class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!! He is a really nice Greek guy and can be funny at times but not a good teacher!! His test have random problems that you never go over. I am ok at math and I had such a hard time following what he was trying to teach us. I was taking it hoping it would be a semi easy class, boy was i wrong. Try to avoid this class!

I came into this class liking math, by the end i hated math and him. Pappas will teach one thing in class and give a test on something completely different. He goes on a lot of tangents and he talks to his students like they are complete idiots. RUN AWAY!!!!

The class is basically in two sectons, "book stuff" and "his stuff" You have to teach the book stuff to yourself, and it is never mentioned in class. Take home tests are used to test what you have taught yourself. His stuff is taught in class and tested in class. Math major = take him. Available outside of class for help, which is nice.

Pappas knows his stuff, but can be a bitter scattered with teaching. He is very helpful though if you ask for it. You must do a short research paper for this class (about 6 pages) and sometimes can be stuck with really bad topics. overall though it's not too bad. not my favorite class by any means, but fine just the same.

Really nice guy, kind of emotionless and bland... He tries to make a lot jokes, but they are only funny because they are bad, which he will even admit to. His lessons arent very focused, and you will find yourself lost very fast if you haven't taken math in a while. Show up to class and get your work done and you should manage okay...

Funny guy, makes class interesting although its sometimes hard to follow along in class because the homework assignments have nothing to do with the class notes and the tests really. you could copy it out of the book and be fine because you dont really need to know it
