He came in during the middle of the semester and really did well taking over the class. Just make sure to show up to class and take notes, tests are fill in the blank so you need to actually know what the class is about. He's a funny guy and cares about the students. Definitely would recommend taking him if you need the class.

Leme tell ya bout my boy Schantz. Every day he walks in wearing the same outfit (just a different color than before).He's an interesting man to watch, I can't seem to figure him out. Everything he says I laugh at bc he's just a character. He only has 4 sets but they easy. Go to class and TAKE NOTES. It's an easy class though. He's one cool dude

All you have to do is take notes, write down everything he puts on the board. The test is directly from your notes and there is only 4 tests. All of them are set up the same, you will start to realize what he will or won't put on the test after you take the first one.

Dry humor. Knows his stuff. Notes are crucial for his class since he doesnt even follow the book he assigned. Grades are based off of 5 tests he gives and each test covers 4 or 5 classes. The class is boring as hell. Studying is essential. He stops taking attendance after a while though it didnt matter

Best Professor I've had so far in my college career. Such a great guy with a great sense of humor. Not only is he a genius in the field but he also is very clear and makes the notes easy to understand. Always willing to help if you ask. The text book is not needed in his class because the grade for the class is 4 tests, word for word from the notes

This class couldn't get any more simpler. Don't need the text book but you do need a pen and some paper because all the tests are straight from the notes in class. If you show up it's an easy A. The guy really knows his stuff and he has a good dry sense of humor.

Hands down one of my favorite professors ever. Funny as hell, smart, easy to work with etc. Some of my friends complain he puts you to sleep with his monotone voice, I disagree however. Very easy class to pass, all tests are based on notes, NOT textbooks. Take half-way decent notes and you should be just fine.

Great seminar with minimal workload and maximum learning and discussion. Hilarious dry wit in class but an office-dweller by nature. If you get to know him he's a great guy and a brilliant professor. By far the greatest prof. I have ever had ! He knows his stuff and is incredibly educated in his field and reputable. I would take any class as long as he is teaching it. Oh my god, Dr. Schantz is the best professor on Plattsburgh State campus. He knows his material, knows how to teach it, and best of all is a RIOT. I look forward to this class every week. Dry sense of humor, quirky social skill and a true genius. Everyone says this class is easy...that's because Schantz makes it so entertaining you learn it.
