Comment:
This class has so much potential to be a good class but since Haskel is so unorganized I spend most of my study time comparing the 4 different interpretations of notes and conflicting things he himself writes in a lecture. The only reason this class is hard is because he couldnt be bothered to read through his power points before uploading them!!!

Haskel was a great Professor in faunal analysis!!! Its a lab course and does require a ton of studying and sketching bones. He offers a 10% bonus project. Do the project but start early and choose a small animal. Only two of us finished the bonus project, its time consuming. Never skip and make sure you study your bones. Awesome course!

Haskel is probably one of the worst profs I have ever had. He taught Human Origins and almost every slide he would either stop and edit it or say, " Okays whats important to write down on this slide." He would wait until someone answered. His lectures were boring and made it into a morality teaching class at times. Didn't study at all, got an A.

1. He does not post PPT on umlearn, be a great typer or write as fast as you can. 2. Students need to write/type PPT. Can you stop a second and let students type PPT first and then start to teach? 3. Professor said that select to type the notes which you think is important. Why you just show us the important slides?? Why just paste others PPT?? ??

Greenfield came off to me as being very dry and boring. He has a very archaic way of teaching. All classes are pre-prepared on word-cramped, poorly designed powerpoints to which he reads them out loud to us. Theoretically speaking, you could never show up for class, only study the textbook and do as good on the exam as the class-goers.

Dr. Greenfield is a nice and humorous professor however his lectures are not posted online, he goes through the slides too fast, doesn't give you time to write it all down and skips slides often. He also emailed the class saying we wouldn't be tested on certain material for a test. It was on the test... I would not recommend his courses.

Really poorly designed lectures. Doesn't post slides online so if you miss something... You're in trouble. The lectures never had much order to them. Found the class would talk about a topic briefly one week then he would mention another fact about it months later. Never grouped the ideas together. Exams were very specific (about dates).

Nice Person, but cannot teach to save his life. His lectures are unorganized and his grading is ridiculous, especially for the level of course. His powerpoint slides are so text heavy that you cannot even write down all the main points before he moves on. He also lectures out of order on the readings but does not tell anyone he is doing so.

I really enjoyed his wacky humor, his giving up to date information and basing his lectures mostly by the book (though he didn't say he would be doing that). I enjoyed classroom discussions, and found the course material very informative. You really do need to be in class and taking notes though to do well.

Lecture notes are very vague, does not follow the textbook. Thinks that he is right and everyone else in the field is wrong, then tests you on his lectures only, not even going by the textbook. Very disappointed as this is in introductory class, you would think he would have to follow some guideline.. Tests are confusing as his notes are confusing.

To anyone consider taking Dr.Greenfield's classes... Go to class, Take notes, and if its Faunal Analysis... GO TO THE LAB OUTSIDE CLASS HOURS!! You are required anyways to go from the beginning!! This isn't high school people.. this is higher education.. and Greenfield is a higher level prof if you can't deal with it... take psychology.

Greenfield is one of the worst professor's I have ever had. He is unclear, disorganized and entirely unhelpful. The quizzes are worth far too much percentage wise and when more than 60% of the class is continuously failing them, he should be the one re-evaluating the quiz scheme. I would highly recommend avoiding taking a class with him if you can.

He was a good lecturer, all his classes were interesting, although he goes through notes too fast. His tests were fair. I foudn that although he always tells students to come see him, I tried 4 times and he either wasn't at any of his offices, or wasn't willing to make time for me. Also very condescending

He is a very nice man who encourages students to seek him for help. He is a tough prof but does know his stuff (goes through notes very fast). ATTEND CLASS. Doesn't post notes anywhere so if you missed it, too bad. Sometimes mentions arbitrary things in class but what prof doesnt?

I enjoyed the class very much, he is a really great prof! Class was easy enough as long you went to each one and really listened to what he had to say. Idk why there are so many comments bashing him but I loved this class and being in it!! :)

He was a decent prof. His tests were fair and if you actually attended class and studied for his tests it was easy to get an A. He is a little cocky and at times it feels like he seems condescending, but overall he was a good prof.

I didn't go to more than a handful of his classes, because of my pure dislike for him. He honestly treats his students like they are in highschool, he's is boring as heck, thinks hes awesome and just has an "****" air about him. His classes are poor and his notes are pointless. Dont waste your time.
