I have never disliked a class more than this one. Her grading is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encountered. You get 4 grades in this class, each worth 25% of your final grade. 2 tests, 1 project and 1 cumulative final. If you mess up even a little bit, you're screwed. I will never take a class with Beauchamp again.

She made psych interesting and fun! something that not a lot of professors can do! I highly recommend her! it is a super tough class and required a lot of studying but she's awesome to work with and ask questions.

Her lectures are interesting and fun to listen too. I am not a psyc major and she made all the topics fun and used personal examples that make things easy to understand. Sometimes the test questions can be a little tricky but she is always pretty clear about what is going to be on them. The moodle quizzes are super easy and based exactly off class.

2 tests and a cumulative final, each worth 25% of your grade. The other 25% is the 4 labs that you do, which she gives little to no direction on. She's a tough grader, so expect a lot of red. Her review sheets aren't too much help. Lectures will keep you awake in the morning because she's way too peppy. Too many personal anecdotes.

Participation matters, this class is supposed to help you transition into college. There will be a few papers in class that will be written on events you attend. There is a final essay and presentation and there is also a paper based on the course textbook (easy read and really cheap). She's really funny and an awesome baker.

I like Dr. Beauchamp, I think the class material just wasn't interesting enough for me to thoroughly enjoy the class. I did really well on the tests (90+) but got screwed over with the group projects because she wasn't entirely clear on the rubric. She's very good at explaining, just a bit of a tough grader

One of the worst professors I have ever had since I started college 4 years ago. I would not recommend her to anyone. She is rude and talks down to students as if they are nothing. Her laugh is so annoying.

You have to be trying to actually fail this class. She gives lectures that are full of life and humor. Aside, from her good teaching she gives a lot of extra credit chances to help out any failing students or perfectionists. I rated her with an average of 3 because it was an easy class for me but don't expect an easy A if you don't ready or study.

She's great. I've attended many office hours for her ands she's been helpful. I have a chronic illness and I miss class a lot and she has been there for me and has been understanding. I love Dr. Beauchamp, I would take more classes with her. Her grading is clear and thorough, although tough. Her lectures are fun.

Really great professor, very energetic and funny so it makes it easier to stay awake even though the material in the class is super boring. She is a very tough grader but she is always willing to help before an assignment is due. Textbook is not needed for this class don't waste your money. Her test outlines are horrible and the test are hard.

Dr. Beauchamp is a great professor, she speaks clearly and doesn't try to trick you. You need to attend class in order to get the notes however because her powerpoints only list the topics covered. Otherwise an easy grade! I never even needed the textbook.

She is an amazing teacher. Not only does she teach you the required material needed for each test while making it easy to understand. She is also there for outside help and makes all the info taught life applicable and tells personal stories that make her relatable!! Would take her class over and over if possible

Great person but as a professor.... not so great! Her review sheets are ABSOLUTELY no help for studying for the exam! They are the notes from class... just in word document form. She has a powerpoint presentation but they're just ideas and you need to take notes on the rest. I do not recommend this class unless you are an audio learner.

I took her research methods class this semester at 9 am. for a class that early and with a 2 hr duration she kept us focus, the material was interesting and clear. she offered extra credit as well as extensions on every assignment. She made sure she was available to anyone that needed further assistance. Plus, the homework load wasn't a burden.

Comment:

I've taken Child Psych with Beauchamp. She's a very nice lady, however, the textbook that we used was awful. Her lectures were all auditory and lack visual presentation. This is great if you're an auditory learner but bad if you're a visual based learner. Beauchamp should lead discussions better by asking us more critical thinking questions.
