Comment:

Kristin is by far one of the best teachers I've had at UMaine. She is very interested in what she teaches, is a very kind lady, and will always go the extra mile to help her students. The university is very lucky to have her as a professor.

I've never disliked a prof at UMaine, but this woman is ridiculous. She assigns huge amounts of work and is a tough grader, which is fine, but she's often unclear about what she's looking for and brushes you off when you ask for more clarification. She's partial to certain students and all the assigned readings are her work. Avoid her.

I had this professor 20 years ago. I still use the material that she taught to help me in the real world. She helped make me into a leader in my work. If you taking classes to learn, take this class, if you want to just complete a degree challenge yourself.

She might be picky sometimes...But i liked this class and the way she conducted it. It had a very open minded approach. If you think your an intellectual thinkers or want to be one, you should take this class, because Kristin encourages students to think on themselves, it was a great learning experience. She is fairly experienced and really cares.

I took communication studies II with Kristen and boy was it HARD! Yes Hard, but it was one the most interesting classes I've taken so far. You do 2-3 logs on different theories a week. There is like 4 tests which are hard. Read, read, read, and than read some more. She makes up the tests so the wording is always tricky and different from book.

This was the worst class EVER. Do not take it if you can avoid it. She is boring and assigns work then interupts you. She is not helpful, and she seems to only like students who are her proteges. RUN.
