Took this class over summer, session #1. the material is hard, but she makes it easy to understand and she tailors her lectures to her students. She is willing to slow down when necessary and will go over items again if you need her to. For those people who dont do well in this class, it is because they waited til last minute to study for the exam

I know she's retired but still LOVE this professor. Lectures are clear and interesting. Tests are very easy if you pay attention in class. You don't have to do ANY reading. She was great and will be missed!

Awesome professor!! Clear and concise. Really interesting course. I hate bio, but this class is for non-bio majors. lectures are mandatory to get an A. A is hard to achieve, but definitely doable. She's helpful and patient. Take this class!! You learn a lot!

I'm absolutely satisfied of having Dr.Anso as my Brain and Behavior class. I thought it was gonna be a hard class but she breaks down every materials and explains very well. I would say always attend her lecture cuz she gives question of the day and those will help your test score! Good luck!

Truly sparked an interest in biology in me for the first time in my life. The material is extremely interesting, and she is clear and organized. She grades fairly and is also just a very decent person. One of the best in my experience at UCI.

Brain and Behavior. This class is great. However, be sure you take good notes, since the test is based mainly on what she says in class. She also rewards your attendance by giving out one test question and answer each day. So that's an automatics 9 points for free on each test. There's also really no reading needed according to the professor.

don't be worried if you haven't had bio in a while; i didn't have it since 9th grade and did fine taking bio37/38 simultaneously. a lot is memorization; take good notes in class. be there on time b/c she gives 1 free q each day. really patient and will repeat anything until you get it. only tested on lecture material. great teacher overall!

Couldn't be nicer and more helpful. Questions of the day are a very generous gift to students who go to class. But, it is definately a hard course and the exams can be pretty difficult. The interest in the course outweighs its difficulty though. If your interested, take it!

I like her as a person,but her class is really hard. She talks too fast, and it's hard to keep up. Make sure to bring a laptop to type as quickly as possible. She's helpful, just go to office hours, and she'll explain everything. The tests are really hard but the final isn't cumulative. It's an interesting class just TONS of information

The biology was hard to learn, but the drugs part was really interesting. Her lecture slides can be disorganized and confusing, but go to class and you'll understand everything. Her tests, which she curves, are not too hard, but you still have to study.

She's pretty tough because she moves quickly through her lecture slides and she lectures as if her students already know everything, which is ridiculous. She was cranky a lot of the time and seemed annoyed when students asked questions or asked her to repeat/clarify things. I did not like her, she had a very irritable attitude.

She is a great professor! I did both bio 35 and 36 and although 36 was a bit harder her lectures we very clear and understanding. a plus for her is that if you dont understand something in class she will review it for you her lectures are posted and attendance is mandatory if you want to understand the material. SHE IS SUPER FUN. I LOVED HER CLASS!
