OH MY GOD THIS LADY IS THE BEST!!! The heart that Dr. Burroughs has is unbelievable. She is literally the best professor at Harper. During the whole semester, there wasn't a single time that I was bored in her class. Everything from lectures, examples, and homework to test reviews is perfect. There is some extra credit. TAKE NOTES DURING LECTURES!

Comment:

Had her for blended psy101 and loved her teaching skills. Decided to take her online psy230 class, which was the best choice. She was easy to communicate email/office. No final/midterm because she gives you weekly chapter quiz and test which was 16 in all, and 10 discussions questions. Gave great feedback on DQ. Paper was extra credit. Take her.

Comment:

Amazing professor, retired nurse and willing to help you. You will not regret taking her. Take her in the summer open book testing but timed test. Do not use quiz let she changes her test around, but other than that she is awesome. Make sure you make it to class when you are scheduled. She gives you great notes.

She relies heavily on group projects as her way of not teaching. If you actually want to learn psychology please get a different class. Shes mostly late to her own class and has an "my way or the highway" attitude.

Comment:

One of the easiest A's of my life! The class is 14 tests, 20 points each (I never scored lower than a 16 and MOST ANSWERS ARE ONLINE)! 12 discussion boards, 8 points each (I got 8/8 points on every discussion board,) and 2 crossword puzzles. She makes this class impossible to fail, and the material is extremely interesting!!!

The easiest class I've ever taken. The easiest class I've ever taken. The easiest A ever. If you just want to take an easy class with minimal effort, take her. If you want to actually learn, I wouldn't take her. The coursework took me 45 minutes a week to finish. Just do the work and tests and you are good.

She was great! I had her online class, but she was so easy to meet up with in her office and very accessible. highly recommend taking her class, whether online or in class. There were weekly discussion posts(actually do the work, it'll be graded) and there are online quizzes to complete as well. There is also a very interesting project at the end

I loved her! she is one of the best professors I have taken. Showing up to class that is the only way you will pass 100%. I studied 2 hours before every exam and got an A on all of them. she is so sweet and down to earth, very inspiring and amazing. take her!

I took this professor online & absolutely loved her! If you are not responsible enough or good at self control do NOT take online courses in general. You must be on Blackboard at least 2-3 times a week. Discussion board each week, small quiz each Thursday on chapter, and one cool project at the end of semester. Go visit her to get to know her!

This was my type of online class. Very clear on what was needed to pass. Graded on study guides, quizzes, and tests. As long as you do the work and put in the effort on the study guides you will pass with an A, no problem!

If you get a chance take this professor!!! She is very nice and down to earth. If you follow the syllabus the online class is a breeze. And she gives lots of EC opportunities. I wish her class was offered on-campus because she is super funny and has lots of stories to tell.

Super nice. She can be a little intimidating at first, but after a few classes you'll begin to love her class. Always makes sure everyone is on track, repeats a lot so you don't miss anything. She is so excited about teaching psych and has so much passion for it. Be prepared to laugh a lot in class because she loves to tell stories and jokes

I would totally recommend her as a professor. She is very down to earth to her students and will understand your situation if given at a reasonable amount of time. Her lectures are based of the book but she will through in key terms or a spot where she wants you to become familiar with. She gives out ec at times but lets class leave early.

Being an online class, there is heavy reading and heavy note taking. Prof. Burroughs care about the students' success and she will help you, ask ask her! Offers extra credit and she's great at responding to emails! BEST online teacher I ever had. I would definitely take her again! Truly understanding yet firm.

Very easy-going, laid back teacher. Took her online Summer PSY230 class & loved it! Easy course & material, and VERY lenient grader. Respectful & easily accessible via e-mail. Expectations & due dates are crystal clear. 1 discussion post & 1 test per chapter. Gives plenty of time to complete work. No midterm, no final, no essays. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
