Comment:

Professor Doerr is incredibly concise and willing to explain and rework problems until she feels confident that all students understand. There are several homework assignments a week, both online and to be handed it, but they are doable and reiterate class material well. She makes challenging material manageable. Inspired me to major in math.

SHE IS MY FAVORITE PROFESSOR EVER! Super nice and funny when you get to know her. She's really helpful and clear. Tests are extremely fair-review the pages she tells you to before the exam. Grades hard tho! 4/5 points off for a - when its +. Check your work. Best teacher ever. Take math with her if you're able to!

Comment:

Grades fairly difficult on exams but makes up for it with extra credit on homework and clicker questions. Very good at explaining concepts and answering questions in-class (even mundane ones). I had a class of about 50 students and sat towards the front and I got a lot out of the class. She really cares for her students. Highly recommended.

She grades extremely harsh, on exams you can get the answer completely correct but she takes away points for minor errors in the steps you showed. The examples she does in class are much easier than those she assigns for homework, which makes the homework very difficult.

Great professor. She uses examples to teach you about calculus rather than throwing a whole bunch of theorems at you and expecting you to understand them. Also she's actually willing to help you understand the material if you attend her office hours. However don't miss a day of her class, if possible, she moves through the course quickly.

The best professor i've had at SU, she is so helpful and teaches the material really well. She encouraged me to challenge myself and I learned so much from her. Go to the classes-- she gives easy pop quizzes, and do your homework its a huge part of your grade.

She was the best math teacher I've ever had. She went at a fast pace but made sure that we all knew what was going on. She gives a lot of extra credit opps and tests were never that bad. Plus, she is one of few math profs who actually speak English. Always a plus.
