Took Professor Lawrence Geography 260. I don't recommend spending the money on the book. He assigns 12 homeworks and you only have to do 5 . Tests are straight from his powerpoints. Be prepared to study because each powerpoint has up to 200 slides of material he can pull questions from.

Comment:

Wonderful teacher! Go to class, listen to him, and you will pass no problems. Sometimes something he mentioned (and related) but is not in the notes will be on the test, I think for checking to see how well you pay attention. Honestly, listen to him and you will pass. He is a great teacher.

This class was really interesting! Basically you learn about the different regions that make up US & Canada. His lectures may sound a little repetitive sometimes, but he makes them enjoyable. You must do five homework assignments throughout the semester out of a possible twelve. You MUST study his power points & notes to do well on exams.

If you can I would highly recommend taking him. He is an amazing professor and remains my favorite here at Edinboro. He presents information in a way that makes it interesting and he does a great job at relating it to the real current issues. Pay attention, take notes, and study at least a little before the tests. He is truly an inspirational man!

I really enjoyed this class surprisingly. I had US/Canada Geography, and he was very knowledgeable of the information. He gives out homework a lot but it's pretty straightforward. Same with his exams. I would totally recommend taking his class

I took Dr. Lawrence for a gen ed core class, and I loved his class SO much. He was extremely organized, updated D2L weekly, and made the material fun to learn. Also, he's been using the same textbook for years, so it's very easy to find it and rent it. I would definitely recommend taking him any chance that you get. Great teacher!

The material was repetitive, but considering what is covered it is understandable. He is great at teaching and is very organized. There are some easy homework assignments, a few map quizzes, and easy multiple choice tests to accompany the lectures. Everything is easy! He has a silly sense of humour.

Dr Lawrence knows his stuff and loves to teach, his classes mostly consist of Powerpoints, with map quizzes and 4 exams throughout the semester. He will assign several homework assignments through the course but you only need to do about 2/3 of them so you can pick and choose which ones you would prefer to do.

He is a very fun and friendly teacher. You will go through powerpoints every class and take notes. The notes are almost exactly what the test is but it is easy to confuse things. The map tests are so simple and you have 4 tests throughout the course, including the final.

He is the best Geography professor at Edinboro without question. I have taken him for 5 classes. He is just an awesome person and teacher. He will not call anyone out and all the classes are very interesting. Tests are NOT easy, you must read the book and notes. He is still the man.

You can tell that Latin America is one of his passions. The class consists of 3 map quizzes, 4 tests and 2 research projects. He does offer bonus for this course and it is needed towards the end. I have taken him twice before and would highly recommend him for serious college students. You will need the book in order to do well in this course.

Great teacher! Tests are multiple choice and usually 2-3 essay questions. Write as much as you can for the essay! Towards the end of semester there will be 5 video reviews required that count towards homework grades (otherwise no other homework). Take notes and follow along in class and a B is easily achievable. He really knows his material!
