My favorite professor to this day (including law school). You wont find anyone who knows Maryland politics better. Not only was he clear and concise in covering the material, but also always made the class interesting. Has a gift for connecting with his students. Very accessible, uses the text book a fair bit. Easy if you put in the effort.

From the navy blue blazer with missing buttons to the stale smoke smell, to the half glasses, this prof is 100% the real deal, classy all the way. I have 2 degrees and working on a 3rd, still the best prof I EVER had. Every lecture is a performance. I wish they could have lasted all day. Look for the DEM sticker on his office.

Very good professor although maintains his liberal bias throughout course. Unless your interested in material it could be difficult. He will be a very good professor if you maintain interst. Not a lot of work except for one ten page paper. For exams, study notes from class especially quotes and prepare for essays-he gives you the topic

Mr. Maryland Politics. he's a state-politics specialist including election campaigning. exams are challenging, but fair. however, he is super demanding when it comes to research papers. lectures are a blast. he's a good guy to know. I'm lucky to have met him.

dr smith is really funny. he's really liberal which can also make the class more interesting. it brings more debate. u can't get below a c on the actual debate u have to do which is nice but some of the topics are hard to write such a long paper on. overall the class is a lot of fun. and dr smith at the poli sci picnic is definitely interestin

Dr. Smith is by far the best professor I've had. Class isn't boring with him, no matter what the subject. He's very clear about the material and wants you to do well. If you go to class tests should not be a problem. Would recommend taking any of his classes. He's awesome!
