Never ACTUALLY taught us anything, we basically came to class talked about what the homework we did the night before, and then got into groups to talk about the homework we have to do that night. I hated her. Although, I will say her class gave me so much anxiety from writing papers, because she graded them so hard, I did well in every other class

Do not take her! She is a terrible professor. She grades papers unnecessarily hard with no explanation as to why you received that grade. You dont get paper copies back to see what mistakes she is referring to. Also extremely rude. Acts as if youre dumb for asking questions she leaves unexplained. Do not take her, you will regret it.

Awful teacher! Harsh grader and rude! Whenever I came to conference for my paper she would be looking at her phone and short with me. Regardless of going to writing center and using online smart thinking tutor for my papers, she still gave awful grades and feedback was rude and condescending! Now I have to retake this class because of her!

She grades papers unnecessarily hard. Also, she has meetings before papers that are worth points and she doesnt even pay attention to you during it. She also rescheduled my meeting last minute and didnt consider the fact that I had another class during that time. She also has a negative attitude. Do not take this class.

She is by far the worst professor I have had. Took 8 honors and AP English classes in high school, and transferred from a university with nothing but amazing feedback about my papers. Does not provide feedback of what is wrong with the papers. Class is pointless, you do nothing effective but bash other students writing while she laughs.

Yeah, I got a 46% on our 2nd paper and I thought it was just me until I found out the mean/average grade was a 54%. DO NOT TAKE HER. Also she assigns a journal for basically every class, which is based off a 10-15 page short story in the textbook which is 1 of 3 for her class.

Horrible. She is an extremely tough grader and does not give clear feedback on what you did wrong. Forces you to work in groups that she assigns. I was stuck in a group where no one did their homework and ended up doing everything. She is not easily accessible. DO NOT TAKE HER.

I was in five classes this semester- this one was my favorite. The key is to do most of the readings, and go to most of the classes, and of course do most of the work. If you do that, you shouldn't have an issue getting an A or B. I would take her for a literature class again in a minute.

The expectations are clear. She uses iCampus and doesn't negotiate, but does drop the lowest 3 journals & 1 paper grades. Expect to spend 2-4 hours reading & doing journals per week, you can skim some and get by but need to know the material for tests. She's really nice & makes the class go by quickly. I feel like I've learned a lot in her class.

Professor Brattoli is a wonderful teacher! I took her American Literature class and loved it! Her lectures are very important, as much of what is talked about in class are on the exams. Set up appointments with her for each of the papers that are due, she will help you edit your papers and give you a better chance of a higher grade.

If you just want to pass take this class. Very easy just show up she'll give you examples and you'll try on your own. Her papers were simple but she's not one to give an outline just tells you what to write then you go for it nothing to stress over. I believe she doesn't actually grade ALL of your work just looks for completion. Just do the work.

WORST teacher I have ever had. EXTREMELY tough grader for papers. I would not recommend taking any courses with her. She also is "out of contact" she will not meet with you at the school nor take phone calls. Horrible experience in her class, borderline failing right now.

She does not read your final drafts, as long as you did it she will give you credit for it but you are clueless if it was ok and if you have any questions she will tell you to read the Seagull Book and that is to most of her question look into the book.

I took eng102 with this teacher. That was a big mistake. She holds conferences for the papers she has us write to ask her any questions we have, she ended up getting on her phone while I asked my questions and her only feedback was sure and I don't know. This was for a 400 point research paper. Do not recommend taking this professor at all!

Took this as a 099 class before English 101. She's extremely nice and is patient to explain concepts if you have questions. There were a few papers to do, but she explains the outline and how to approach them. Loved her teaching style and would recommend her to anyone!

Didn't believe all the talk so i took her class due to time restraints. HORRIBLE never gave good feedback unclear about assignments and was not willing to help students in a productive manner. Also has a huge attitude problem 0/10 would not school again.
