Hersh is hands down the best professor I have ever had at York. He really sparks great discussion in class and he lets you form your own thoughts/opinions without shooting you down for disagreeing with him. I felt like I actually developed a greater understanding of the subject because of him. Great prof, great readings, great course!

I took 3 or 4 courses of his and absolutley LOVED them all! He is a prof that I will never forget...he has a heart of gold and really wants to see his students succeed. By far the best prof I've had in my entire Undergrad degree! He's one of a kind...and I'm actually going to miss him and his classes!

One of the best professors I've ever had. Incredibly clear, and can pull details out of plays that you never imagined. I got so much out of his class that it quickly became my favourite course of the year. He gives excellent feedback on assignments. Read the (very short) plays, go to class, and participate. You'll love it!

Without a doubt, one of the most intelligent,open-minded profs with a heart of gold to boot. His reading list for Contemporary Drama introduced me to several phenomenal plays. You can't go wrong with a course with HZ.

I must've had a different Hersh Zeifman than these last few reviewers. He was always receptive, fun and engaging. Never tore down students, in fact he created a great class environment. Didn't push pricey theatre, even hooked students up with discount.

Absolute Loser. For theatre reviews, expect to be penalized for being stupid enough to see a bad play because you couldn't afford to see the supposedly 'good' one. I'm sorry Hersh, we aren't all Forest Hill residents and can't afford $50 all the time!!!!!
