She is by far the worst professor I have had in my college career. She is the devil and is a complete jerk to everyone in the class. I despise this woman

If you expect an easy A for a 101 class, do not take this class. First you have reading quizzes almost everyday and then lectures. When she is not giving a boring lecture, you watch a movie and have to write about it, so you cant miss one day without an excuse. Her tests are all essay and you have to do a 6 min presentation by yourself. It sucks.

Professor France is brilliant and challenges students to be their best and expand their horizons. If you don't go to class or put in effort, you won't do well. But it is so rewarding to have her approval at the end of the semester.

She is incredibly tough and her attendance policy is terrible. She's the kind of professor who doesn't understand that you have other classes. She is also the kind to expect you to hand in a ten page group research paper and the next day have your final take-home exam (consisting of two essays) be due. That makes sense, right?

She is not that easy but she is very helpful. My midterm was 63 and I ended up with B+. If you show her that you work hard and want to get good grade, she will be very interested in giving you a good grade. I recommend you to talk her and get advises about how to study better. Finally If she realizes that you care about her class, you will get A.

Great professor! Taking her again. I recommend this class to anyone that is interested in Women's studies. Quite a bit of work, but everything is relevant. Midterm, final, about 6 papers, and discussion questions due every day.

Really good professor, very flexible, willing to work with you. A bunch of quizzes which are kind of annoying but they encourage you to do the reading; mid-term, take home final, a group presentation. Makes economics interesting.

Dr. France is the best professor I have ever had the College of Charleston, and I have had some pretty great professors. I learned so much in her class and even though there was a ton of work, I felt like I was really accomplishing something so I didn't mind doing it. She's such a great person and such a great professor! Take her if you can!

France is spectacular. This class was easily my favorite of the semester. Do the work and you'll be fine. (Read ahead of time so you can study for the pop quizzes). Her class is really interesting. Two tests, a project, and a final. She will go over (and correct)your essay outline with you prior to taking the test. Take her!

France is a brilliant woman, little too much of the class abt feminisim but interesting. Encourages students to justify views and is perhaps less understanding of male students. Intimidating as hell to present taking sides debate but if you do the work, you'll do fine. lots of reading but interesting material. speak up in class - she loves it

Never written on this site but thought it was necessary. Anyone wanting to learn about current world politics, don't take her. She didnt bring up one current issue the whole semester. Her lectures and resources are all from the 1990s. Might as well be a human rights class. Also less willing to help men in the class.

professor france is a genius. one of the smartest people I have ever encountered, consequently her class is VERY tough. I have A's in all my other classes but am failing hers. There is a ton of reading every night and if you dont understand all of it you will not do well on the daily quizzes. if you take the class just be prepared

I'll start off by saying that I am a poli sci major so I may be a little biased. France is a brilliant professer! I was so impressed with her clarity and fairness. The course is definately challenging but I learned a lot and it was by far my favorite class of the semester! TAKE NOTES AND READ THE READINGS and you'll do fine. I'm taking her again!

She is a great Prof! I learned so much in her World Politics class! She gives you both view points to a number of international issues. It really helps you understand the world. I definitely recommend her! Even if you don't want to study pols this class is a great elective! She doesnt make you buy a text book. All the reading is online.

DEATH. THIS CLASS WAS DEATH. Not only does France seem to have trouble expressing herself through the omnipresent English language, the students are penalized upon their attempts to answer her 300word questions by answering everything that she could have possibly meant. This class was interesting, yet grossly prone to taking a liberal standpoint

She makes a point of playing devil's advocate which is excellent. Sometimes the more emotional students can hijack class. I highly recommend taking a macroeconomics course first. I took it afterward and it would've made this class that much more fascinating.

Don't take her if you aren't really interested in poly sci. She's really smart and knowledgable but she assumes everyone is the same way about political science. You have to really understand everything going on in the world and watch the news, read the paper, and just know about ALL recent world events if you want to keep up with her.

She is very nice, very smart. Knows what she's talking about. Tests are easy (she gives a study guide for the essay). Quizes were easy at first w/ matching then difficult w/ short answers. LOTS of reading. Def take her if you're a POLS major. I'm not very involved or smart when it comes to POLS but I made a B.

don't take her if you are looking for a class where you do nothing. There is reading every night and quizes almost every day. Lecture is interesting and tests are easy (study guide is great). You watch a movie almost every week. Nice lady. Interesting class--just a lot of work if you want an A.
