Howard made my experience at OCAD great. He is probably my favourite prof at OCAD as of right now. He knows what he's talking about and is very detailed in relaying what he knows. Be ready to work for your grade!

Too many rules in his class and he teaches lots of things in one class, just talk and talk for three hours, and you just sit and take notes. for the Participation, you must answer lots of question in class, and if you did not answer question, you will get 0 for Participation even you go to every class. also sometimes he makes you feel embarrassing.

Howard is the real deal. He cares. He's smart. He loves to teach. In the vacuous void of administrative thuggery and disrespect for all those who teach and learn Howard is a brief glimmer of hope, empathy and integrity. Take his classes then transfer to a better school or use your extra cash on a road trip with Howard's teaching in your mind.

Howard is a necessary prof. He is necessary in that he will transform you positively and make you a better designer and person. He marks hard, can be scary, and is a tough guy to please. He is so passionate and cares a lot. He is a fantastic professor. Experiences with his teaching were transformative. He rules!

Howard is one of the best professors at OCAD! He cares about his students and pushed you to be better. He is tough but fair and will give you the feedback that you need to be a better designer. The lessons I learned in Howard's classes were directly applicable to the design jobs I had in school and after.

One of the best teachers I've had the luck of having. Some students might not like his pov or cynical personality, but he is an amazing teacher. Lectures are engaging and his projects really push you to think outside of the box, which is what an education at a design school should be doing!

Howard is one of those teachers you tell your kids about. The kind of guy who pushes you as much as he enlightens you. He marks hard but fair and he is super stricked on deadlines. He is truly one of the best teachers you could ever have for anything.
