Horrible, repeat HORRIBLE professor. Worst professor I ever had and was in my last year in the Masters program. Had to take another class and Hsu was the only one teaching it so I went to Widener Uni and took it there.

Does curve at the end of semester but extremely hard! Get ready to take tons of notes and tests that you cannot even understand questions. Tests are multiple choice- so very hard! Would never take again!

He seems to be a very nice guy, but when you are in his class he is rude to the students and is hard to understand. His tests are impossible, so he curves them and you'll still do poorly. He doesn't give extra credit and when he says if you attend all the classes and do the work you'll be fine, take that lightly because I still got a C.

can't understand a word he says. you take a lot of notes and the tests are impossible but he curves a lot. he's a nice guy but just not a good teacher. as long as you show up he will pass you but you wont learn anything

He is closed minded and not overly helpful. He makes his questions up seemingly at random for the tests. He is not mean but he dose not help very much with the questions and dose not seem to understand you at all. If you can avoid taking his classes please do you will regret taking his class.

His english isn't the best and his handwriting is hard to read, but he mostly uses overheads. The tests are kind of hard, but he curves a lot. He's funny, not always on purpose. Definately has favorites, final grades are more about if he liked you rather than numbers. It's mostly common sense, not difficult information, but students still complain.

I'v never had a worse professor and I'm a senior about to graduate this May. He doesn't enjoy his job, he contradicts everything taught by the eduaction department. His clases are pain to sit through and useless because he just reads from the overhead or dictates notes. He doesnt decide how he's going to grade participation until the end... etc

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He contradicts all you learn about being an effect teacher, is useless in trying to answer student questions, gets angry when you don't understand his lessons, criticizes students infront of peers, no rubric or syllabus so free-forms classes, grades inconsistently. WCU should be embarrassed they give him a paycheck.

I have a suspicion that this is an NCATE requirement. everything i am learning about good teaching is contradicted in this class- a colossal waste of time. Dr. Hsu is an old-school teacher with no sense of how to use class time in a constructive way. Spent too much time on statistical analysis of test scores- things a spreadsheet can easily do.

Tests are hard to pass no matter how much you study & they cover things that weren't discussed in class. English is very hard to understand, forget going to him for help, he can't help. Class has to be graded on a curve otherwise everyone would fail. If you answer the question wrong he will embarrass you in front of the class. Can't recommend.

He tries, but he's just not a good teacher. He's hard to understand at first, but after a day or two you get used to it. His tests are hard and cover random insignificant facts. If you take it over the summer, you don't have to write your own test. He insults students if they give a wrong answer, and can't always understand students.

Ok so where do I start? His tests are ridiculous. He curves the tests, but even with the curve people STILL fail. He is very hard to understand because of his thick accent. I am a second semester senior and I see absolutely NO pint to this class. PLEASE do not take this class...I am warning you! You will regret it!!!

All I can say is that I am sooooo glad this class is over. It really was a little nightmare! He was hard to understand, couldn't enderstand his students, and made little sense. The tests didn't match up with matieral. It was not fun!!

This man is probably the worst professor at the school. Not only can he barely speak English, his exams do not reflect the content of his class. If you ask him a question, he becomes defensve. He ought to retire. He has ruined enough students' GPAs. Unfortunately, he is one if the few professors who teach this required course for education majors.
