Very dry and boring lectures. Tests are not hard and consist of multiple choice, short answer, and essay. Don't buy the textbook, you will not need it. Willing to help you out if needed. Does not give clear grading criteria and grades very inconsistently. Easy to get an A but would not take again.

He is very funny, the class is pretty boring. The essays are very easy and he gives you full credit if you do a decent job. The tests are pretty hard because the study guide is nothing like the actual test. Overall, easy class.

Professor Burbridge was one of my favorite professors. He sure talked a lot, and really tries to get the class involved. There was 3 papers total we had to write throughout the semester. The test were quite challenging, but if you pay attention and read the material, you will be okay!

Great professor. He knows a lot about history which sometimes leads to irrelevant tangents but he tries to make history less dry. Exams are part multiple choice and memorizing people or places but if you look at your notes and skim the book you should't have much trouble. I would highly recommend his classes.

As a history major, I have found Burbridge to be one of the more knowledgable professors I have ever had. He has a unique sense of humor in which he doesnt care about you if you don't make an effort. His lectures are entertaining, and tests fairly easy. If you read the text and attend class regularly you can expect at least a A-

He is awesome. You get a million absences and he doesnt care if you show up if you do the work. You need the textbooks to do your tests but you dont really need to read them. Take the class even though its boring.

I was extremely nervous, as this was my 1st ever online course....and I am happy to say that it went well. Prof Burbridge is very clear in what he requires, which is pretty discussion based. He does require a 500 word essay a week, however the topics are interesting and as long as you do your reading you will be ok. I definitely recommend him!

The online class was laid out for mostly discussion, which worked perfectly for anthropology. Going into the course, I didn't know what to expect but I actually ended up learning a lot and enjoyed reading the material and discussions! He was very clear in expectations and quick to post grades!

EASIEST CLASS EVER! I had him for an online class and it was the only class keeping me sane because it was so incredibly easy. I actually did do the reading and posted when I was supposed to so there for I still did learn a lot...But it would be very easy to not read at all and still receive an A in this class. Good filler for a hard schedule.

I'm sure he was an alright teacher, but I hated the class. He lectures for an hour and a half and jumps around a lot. It's terribly hard to follow him... on the other hand, I do have ADD, so that is more than likely a contributing factor.

Burbridge is a wonderful professor. He is cynical, and has a good sense of humor! He's very interesting to listen to and can be really funny when he says his little side comments. Get the book, but not the access code - i never used it and i don't think anyone in my class did. If you read the book and take notes during lecture you'll be fine.

Dr. Burbridge is a fantastic professor. He truly knows his field and enjoys sharing that passion with his students. Very old-fashioned when it comes to teaching, no technology except an occasional video. He expects you to do the work on your own, not have him give it to you on a silver platter. Very cynical about things as well, good sense of humor

Prof. Burbridge is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful if you take the initiative to speak up. Taking notes can be difficult, since he doesn't highlight what you should write down, but he always gives a good study guide. Papers are a cinch, all you have to do is read and react coherently.
