If looking for a better background in assessment in BC, look elsewhere. The material is VERY dated and mostly irrelevant to teaching in BC in the 21st Century. Assignments were overambitious and WAY too much to do (3 12+ page essays, final and constant lengthy posts on the weboard).

Not a great class. Part of jumping through the hoops and becoming a teacher. Assignments and tests were did not prepare me for being a teacher. I think Cameron enjoys his power over students and doesn't seem to care about his job.

If you are planning to become a teacher, it would be worth watching Cameron to learn HOW NOT to teach. It might be an idea to have someone teaching teachers-to-be who has actually spent time in a classroom in the last 30 yrs.

You hate him or love him. Nothing in between. I thought he was great. Very well organized, very practical. Learned more from this guy that actually helped me in my practicum than from all the others put together.

Mixed ideas about Ian. Having his class jammed into one month is not ideal. Felt that the criterion for assignments and descriptions for tests was too vague. Often seemed to contradict himself. But his dry humour made class more worthwhile!
