Good prof if you listen to lectures and talk to him often. Very smart, can appear to teach randomly and test just the same. Try to study everything, even stuff that are not taught yet or else the midterm and final will be very hard.

He is better at giving intuition than providing technical details. But his stories about the people involved in the results are really interesting, and make the whole thing look a lot more human.

I won't lie - this course felt like a review class instead of new material. Very straightforward. His first few assignments were interetsting and then they got sort of lame. He is a disorganized person but posted his notes online so it balanced out. Funny man. And intelligent. Ask about SPLAY TREES. (He can ramble a bit)

Had him for algorithms 1. He's uninteresting, shows no interest in the lecture topics, shows no enthusiasm in teaching, and I question how bright he is. On more than one occasion I questioned his facts in class and proved him wrong. All around a poor lecturer.
