she is hard to understand, though the discussion sections make it easier. Be sure to take Jason, he makes the class a lot easier.

In all honesty, the course probably wouldn't have been as difficult as I found it to be if she was more organized. Her 'notes' during lecture are just awful - they're literally just words. My TA was awful too, so I ended up really struggling in this course. Make sure you're ready to read because, essentially, you have to teach yourself!

She is horrible at following the course syllabus. If u wanna pass the class make sure your TA cares about you. You will not get anything she says. Her information is heavily opinion based. The MCQ is crazy but the writing might be able to pull u through. Overall if u have any other choice DO NOT EVEN THINK OF TAKING HER CLASS.....

You might as well not go to the lectures, you can just read. The TAs do a good job during the discussions, but seemed confused as well.

Slightly disorganized, but brings up a lot of cool information that ends up enhancing your knowledge of the material. Is easygoing but will make you work for an A. Seemed that how you responded to the material was more important than knowing the material itself. I probably wouldn't take her for a class that needs structure, but I liked her style.

She is super nice, friendly, and go with the flow. She could do a better job at conveying her ideas and connecting with students but you have to work to have a relationship with her... or for her to even know your name.

Very crazy lectures, hard to follow. However, there are interesting ideas Professor Susser presents during the lecture that can be further explained by good TAs.Overall is not hard class but a lot of information. MC tests are a bit confusing, however short answers are easy! Get a good TA and this is where you get best info from.

Yes her lectures lack structure, get past that and she definately has much to say-inspiring. She is willing to curve/give extra credit to work with the class. Handouts to study for exam helpful-no surprises really. Many found it hard to finish exams in time given (Exams: half essay, half T/F & multiple choice). Essay easily consumes time so prep!

You're defin. not going to learn anything from her, all she does is ramble about anthro, and it doesnt even go along with the syllabus. The class isnt hard, chapters are 'short' but a lot to memorize.BTW shes a lecturer, your def. going to be sleeping in her class, towards the end of the semester only like a third or a fourth attended.

professor susser's lectures are just crazy. she rambles on and on. Good thing I had an awesome t.a. and the discussion classes were far more interesting/educational than the actual lectures. Overall, the class isn't hard, just make sure you read the text.

Easy, heavy textbook/novel usage. Overall her lectures are kind of crazy, she doesn't really have a set plan, but thankfully her tests are mostly on readings/movie viewing.

Nicest person in the whole school. Will listen to you and work with you to improve your grade. A tad bit disorganized but totally worth it. Easier than Chin. In hope her English accent doesn't disappear completely when you take her. ;)

Not difficult, its a fairly easy class. But she is unbearable and I find her very irritating. Very disorganized, rambles on in class, not sure if I learned anything. Avoid her if you can.

Her work load is a piece of cake. However, what makes her difficult is that she is extremely disorganized. The syllabus reading were a mess, she rambles a lot. You'll be dozing in the class. She can be irritable with you if you're a sloppy writer. She wears a pleasant facade -- though could tell teaching isn't her first priority.

This is a really interesting & fun class if you have an interest in indigenous cultures, gentrification, colonialism, globalization. Clear review sheets, going to class & knowing the "concepts" will get you a good grade. Over-all a great prof. who has a lot of experience in the field. Bit disorganized though.

She is soo easy its crazy. You dont need to really even buy the books, just take down real good notes on what she talks about in class and thats all you need. She goes over most of what you need to know for the exams right before the exams. Listen to what she says in class and glance over the text. Just study her review sheets. Her papers are easy.

Definitely an easy A. This prof. gives out a "review sheet" for the midterm and final, but all of the questions are practically the same. She also gives the answers in class. The readings are interesting but not mandatory bc she gives the answers. There is one paper on a trip to the museum of nat. hist. Theres also a 6 pg paper, very easy.
