Really clear and articulate on concepts. Provides great feedback on assignments. He is one of the profs. at York that cares about the quality of your work. Class was mostly research-based. Funny and witty, definitely showing enthusiasm on the subject.

I enjoyed the course. If you do the assignments you will do fine on the exams. He does not change his exams much so if you obtain a previous copy it will be a good study aide. Very knowledgeable in user interface design (has contributed numerous innovations in computing).

The course itself is great, and the assignments are challanging but fun. However, this prof only reads his slides and he never really answer questions directly. The worst part is even if your answer in the final exam is true and reasonable, but it is not PERFECT, then u get ZERO!!! A lot of people failed the final exam, and got a bad final mark!

One of the most interesting courses I've ever had, and his way of teaching is ok. If you understand his notes AND source code from examples, you should be fine. Assignments are challenging but marking scheme is fair from what I got. If you don't get good mark, it's not because he sucks, you just DID not do works what you're supposed to...

Assignment marked hard. Midterms are relatively easy. if u mess up midterm drop the course. coz u wont get more than a C+ in assingment (well, 95 percent of u ). Until midterm the class was productive. After that all he talked about was his so called inventions. Who uses his scroll keyboard anyway?

Great Prof! I guess one of the smartest @ York and those who actually contributed something to today's HCI field. I googled him, just to see if all his inventions he was talking about are true, and yes they are! Microsoft keyboard with scroll wheel on the left, as his work. It was an easy CS course!

This guy sucks man. He thinks he knows JAVA but all he does is read off slides. He expects the students to do like friggin MS Word when asked to do simple text editor. He marks like an a**. LOL sometimes he can't event use the computer properly, how is he a COSC PROF!!!. I HATE HIM!!

He is cocky.Seems nice at the beginning, then is horrible. I think he realizes that his profession is weak, so he marks material hard in order to make the course a challenge for students (but really the class should be easy since the material is BS!)
