This was the most confusing class I have ever been in. Not because the material was confusing, but because this professor is not equipped to teach a course at this level. She would never remember the homework she assigned us and would shame us for not having it done. All her questions were strangely worded and she often tried to trick us.

Was often away, but when she was in class she was not at all very clear with her explanations. Tests were easy enough though. Don't take if you can avoid it.

Nice woman, but worst French prof I had at Glendon. Our class unanimously had trouble with her; so many either lost scholarships, dropped, switched to Keele, or changed their major/minor. Her quizzes made no sense. She jumped from book-to-book w/o telling us--mad confusion. I had to petition my final mark; several others got unofficial ones done.

disorganized, incoherent, doesn't let us go to the washroom and doesn't remember what she said the previous week. hard marker, and quizzes and tests do not show your knowledge but rather confuse you. answers must be exactly as she would write them, and she loves taking marks off for every little thing. beware.

Disorganized, incoherent, and inconsistent. The questions on the tests were unfair and she quizzed us on parts of the novels we hadn't read yet. She wouldn't let us go to the washroom or eat during class. She would save returning assignments and announcing what was on the test next week till the very last minute when the next class came in.

This prof gives way too much work, all of the questions on her tests are confusing and unclear, especially the true/false questions. More than 2/3 of the class has dropped or switched sections, indicating the quality of this professor! Beware all who plan to take 1525/1530 next year!

She's really great. My French improved exponentially. Some teachers at Glendon are really bad, and basically don't care about their job or their students. Prof. Kovacs is not one of them. If you study and listen to her closely, you'll do fine. P.S. words of wisdom: if you want a good grade, pay attention instead of playing with your I-phone.

The two reviews below mine speak the truth. Disorganised, unclear, incorrect teaching methods! Stay away! Despite being top of my past French courses and being invited to a national French competition, I'm having trouble with an A in her class. Every week, you will have homework confusion, and an impossible quiz that does not show your knowledge.

I don't know who wrote the positive reviews of this professor. It is unanimously understood in my class, that is effectively now half its original size, that this is the worst professor we have all ever had. She makes changes every week to the homework and the syllabus. Every week there is confusion as to what those changes were. + she's incoherent

It took a while to adjust to her teaching method, but sticking it out was worth it in the end. She's horribly vague and unorganized but she makes you work harder to really know french, and I appreciate what I learned from her in the end. Still, be cautious. :P

She`s phenomenal. Her teaching method can be a bit of an adjustment if you`re used to having easy professors who overlook your errors. She cares a lot about her students and gives helpful criticism...but you also have to have a certain level of maturity to actually benefit from it. If you do, then your French will improve profoundly.
