At a weekend conference Imke organized I, a grad student, was required to help with food catering rather than participate in the conference event. I was not employed by the university other than a grad student - food service was not in my job description. I did not benefit academically in any way. Imke uses and disposes of students thus.

Abuse of power: great, till I tried to give a paper at a grad conference. She made sure I wasn't allowed to attend a conference in my own grad program, had me kicked off a committee I'd been voted onto. She assured I was treated like a 2nd class citizen in my Seattle grad program; chances to advance were available to every other student but me.

if a german can make german hilarious, then isn't this more than enough? meyer is the best language instructor i have ever had, with the best all around knowledge, and the best sense of humor. she can get anyone to speak german.
