Dr. Mitra is the absolute best! I would recommend her in a heartbeat! Yes, she can be tough, but only if you don't do the work. This is college people it is going to involve work! She is helpful if you show that you try and you go to her for help. Lectures are clear, and at times very entertainig. I am minoring in English because of her.

Hated the class and hated her as a teacher. Very opinionated and unfair. Grading was difficult, and tests were even harder. Although seems like a nice person, lectures were boring and long, and she seemed to play favorites with the students that agreed with her. Do not take her classes.

She's a sweetheart. I came into her class expecting to hate Dr. Mitra, but I was sadly mistaken. The only reason I felt underprepared was because, frankly, I was. And accent? Southern accents are harder to decipher. Give me a break...

Dr. Mitra is great. She has a huge passion for what she does and is very smart. I have no idea why some people had a hard time understanding her, she has practically no accent. Also she allows rewrites and will offer lost of pointers if you talk to her. Just do the work and do it well.
