Shane gives practical real life questions and examples. Will give assignment every week, which you will later be thankful for. The best part is his availability for help which is most advantageous for any student having difficulty with the subject.

Shane Rollans makes math interesting and understandable. He gives great lectures in class that makes the content applicable. You have to stay on top of his weekly assignments but they prepare you very well for his mid-terms and final exam. He is always open to help (even with classes other than his own). Take Shane's class, you won't regret it.

He was my favorite teacher! He cares about his students and he genuinely wants them to pass, he stays later during lab time to help people who want to stay late and finish their assignment. The notes that he writes on the board are super helpful, for an easy A show up to class and take notes!

Shane has the ability to take the most complicated lectures and make them understandable and interesting. He is always available outside of class time and if you do the assignments and work hard at the review sheets he gives before exams, you will do great in his class. Plus, he brings cookies and chocolate to class!

I didn't have Shane for this class, I only visited him for help in his office. But from these visits, he taught me everything I needed to know as clearly and easily as possible. He takes things that might seem complex and breaks it down for you. He is also one of the nicest profs on campus and will explain anything to you. Thank you Shane!!

Amazing teacher! He knows his stuff. His lectures are clear and easy to follow along. He takes the time to make sure every student understands before moving forward. His assignments are easy and he gives you lots of time to complete them. hes almost always available to help in the Math help centre in HOL. Highly recommend!

Great Prof! Very approachable. Exceptionally helpful and has the most office hours of any prof. Lectures are a bit dry - but hey its a Stats course. Lots of assignments, but they are all very relevant and help you learn. Exams always open book. Do your homework and you'll get a great grade. Very fair marker.

Excellent! Very approachable, understanding and easy to talk to. Ready to answer any questions one may have. Lots of assignments, but they complement the course. If you are taking stats, make sure he is teaching it.

Shane explains the content much better then the text and writes everything on the board so don't miss a class or you will be so lost. Also, if they are still using the red book w/coke bottles on the cover DON'T BUY IT you don't use it.
