She was my academic advisor, while I was briefly undeclared Freshman year. While she seemed like a nice person, she was not helpful AT ALL! I was pretty much on my own; which kinda sucks when you are just starting college and getting to know everything. It was hard to get in touch with her either in person, email, or by phone.

I found Dr. de Melo-Martin to be very intriguing. She is very knowledgeable and loves class discussions. She welcomed questions and was always available if I needed additional help. The class is not difficult, but it is very involved. I learned a lot from her class, probably one of the best classes I have taken.

She is horrid. The only professor ever to make me cry, and she can be tempermental in class. Unrealistic in her expectations, almost to the point of cruelty. Difficult to understand in class, yet lectures very rapidly. Not worth the mental anguish.
