This course covers too much for one semester. It is a trial-and-error for the instructor and the students who do not know where they are going. She was not prepared for this class. Needs to spend more time preparing it before dragging all the students through a useless adventure. Teacher shows how much she loves the English language.

I don't know what everybody sees in this teacher, she is horrible. The tests were hard and her lectures weren't herlpful. I learned nothing and her class dragged by. Taking this class was a waste of my time.

Out of all linguistics professors in the Spanish department at SDSU, she is the only one who presents wisdom. All the others have inmense knowledge of their fields, but they live in their little shell and in turn become arrogant and loose their own humanity and the distinction between ethical and unethical behavior. Prof Moyna is a humble genius.

This is a course I took Spring 2005. She is very knowledgable and a joy to be around. I learned a lot in this class. I would definitely take another class with her. The class was always entertaining and she is extremely nice.

Best teacher ever! I love Profe Moyna! She's vert sweet and very thorough and very clear. The subject matter is not the most interesting, it's sometimes dry, but she keep you entertained the entire time. Total sweetheart. I heart Moyna!

You can't be some idiot who thinks that just because you speak fluent Spanish, you can get an A in Spanish Linguistic classes. You have to know how to spell, use accent marks, and have a general feel for parts of speech, must have an understanding of verb tenses, I'm so sick of reading these idiots saying they Speak Spanish so they should get an A

Moyna is my favorite teacher at SDSU! She's great. If you have the chance to take this class, do it! I think I got 100% in the end; I don't know what it was, I just understood her style. It's like Ling 101 in Spanish. Thanks Moyna!

She's teaching Ling 448 next semester & apparently she's the only good professor for this class. However, if u r taking Spanish 301 class next semester then dont take it w/her cuz she'll make a really easy class hard. Take Spanish 301 with Aguilar. Hint: Aguilar usually asks for her schedule to be MWF.

Take this class only if it's required for you're major/minor or if you know Spanish really well. She is very enthusiastic & passionate, but she teaches AND SPEAKS w/ a VERY FAST PACE. She shows good videos that help you understand the culture and language better. Take the class, but GOOD LUCK!!

Prof. Moyna has lots of knowledge about the Spanish- speaking cultures. Lots of Homework, but she grades every single paper. Fun class and also challenging, not just for the non-natives but also for the natives. I didn't like the recorded interviews.
