I found that he answered personal questions about religion better then he answered ones having to do with the class. His specialty is Christianity so he would bust out with storys from the bible and passages which is fine, except we were doing eastern religions (hinduism) and he tried to compare the two all the time. that just made things confusing

He tries to be helpful, but he is unclear. His notes are very unorganized and written in poor English, and are thus hard to understand. I learned more from the textbook than I learned from him. You're never sure what you should be learning or what is important to the class. He's a tough marker too.

I saw all the bad reviews and was shocked.His class was awesome.His frequent stories to illuminate points were always entertaining and useful.He had the whole class laughing aloud pretty much everyday.I didn't even buy the textbook and pulled out a very decent mark with average intelligence so his notes must not have been that bad.Recommended.

He is a very nice guy, as long as you attend the lectures you can make sense of his notes.. just organize your own... it's not that hard... He is very innocent and doesn't make a lot of sense because he is so innocent. Nice guy, would recommend him.

I dont' know why this professor has such a low rating. He is one of the most helpful profs i have ever had. He studies religion objectively and teaches his students to do the same. Thats why he does not tolerate religious opinion based of faith in his classroom. This is university, not church!! I believe he is justified!

Wilson really jumps around. You need to stay focused in class and read ahead just to know what he's talking about. The test questions are based a lot on definitions, which makes them pretty easy though.

Not biased at all! I'm confused by the other comments. He gave a very fair assessment of all world religions and wanted us to learn. "Have you been doing your readings?" He was funny and while quite confusing at times he knows his stuff.

An overall terrible experience. Does not allow students to disagree with him (especially if it challenges his pro-protestant/anti-Catholic prejudices) Very disorganized, no time management skills. You can only do well if you tell him what he wants to hear
