honestly a horrible teacher. He is a really rude person and really unapproachable. There were a couple projects that required presentations and he always made an effort to call out and embarrass presenters often over seemly trivial matters. grading is incredibly harsh without constructive feedback and essays were never returned in a timely manner.

this felt like it was an honors English class for people who have no free time what so ever. no matter how much you think you did there's more work for you. most of his other instructions are online and he expects you to always check out of no where. doesn't give specific details and won't cut any slack for anyone with a question.

Rude, can't understand the fact that the students are there to learn; not to impress him. He expects your paper to be graduate school level. If you have a chance to take his class, avoid him. You seriously will suffer. Some of you may get a chance to see him during WRC lab. He's the big, white guy with white hair that always yells. AVOID HIM

Don't do it. No one in the class ever actually knows what is going on. He is the kind of teacher that is unapproachable, and if you have questions, he just refers you to the syllabus and schedule, but then he doesn't even go from that himself. He is disorganized and expects students to make up for that. One of the worst teachers I have had.

Do NOT take this professor. You will regret it in every single way possible. Professor is rude to students, behaves like a child at times, and doesn't give respect to any students of any age. Essays are intense, writing about 8 total, with over 30 drafts total. Has you print notes and stories from home, so be prepared to print 100s of papers...

I took this class recently and as many say, he most likely is the most difficult teacher available. He never gives any chances or breaks on the essays and books are mandatory. I had to read about 3-4, as well as the "text book" a writing manual. Don't take this teacher. over 75% of my class dropped out. i stayed and as a result it hurt my GPA.

Prof. Sullivan was definitely better than I expected after reading his prior ratings. He was a little odd at times, but always willing to help. Although this course was tough it was pretty interesting. You definitely have to do the readings. 3 or 4 in-class essays, five essays, and you have to do a play as your final.Definitely worth the challenge.

Sullivan is a really tough grader,but he only gives you a grade that YOU earned. He is definitely not the type to just pass you, or even feel bad for you. So if you take his class be expected to actually do work. Homework load is a lot, & he checks everything & will write stuff on it! Also listen to instructions. He is strict, but he knows his stuf

Most people say he's a hard teacher but if you complete all your assignments and focus his class is easy. I had no problems with this prefessor. Drops you if you have poor attendance. Requires quite a bit of homework but isnt even due the nex day. Assignments you will actually turn in or essays and maybe a few pages of homework. Just dont be lazy.
