Sweet professor. He wants you to do well in class! Only 3 tests and offers extra credit. He loves statistics, dates and names on his tests! Avoid general statements and listen to anything he mentions in lists! Read his handouts...they are always on the test!

His lectures are ok, he talks quite fast so its hard to write down everything he says plus he makes things up sometimes. Exams are either fill in the blank, MC and essays and in the essay's you really have to read the book and not go off what he says most of the time. He does know what its like to be a student and reminds me of mr. feeney

Great lecturer,guides you through the reading. Exams are essay but if you read you do okay. If you learn facts and statistics with flash cards through the readings you'll get an A. The dude is hell a fun, very positive, and fair as long as you pay attention.He's always on time, focused, and always looking sharp and ready. Great class I recomend it.

Lectures are OK, it has it fun times and its boring times. I received C's on his two exams and felt I did terrible on final and I managed to get a B. He does offer extra credit (write essays). Exams was Multiple Choice and Essay. MC's are difficult even if you do read text. It is helpful to find a buddy to do half of the study questions and terms

Generally his undergrad upper-division courses are extremely challenging: He gives a TON of lecture material, and the exams are all essay and ID questions. His graduate research seminars are much easier. Although he's usually a tough grader, he's also very cheerful and easygoing, and he always has a positive attitude toward his students.

I loved him! I'm usually not that into history but he was so fun... the jokes about history got me into it.. He's like that cute-old-grandpa-guy. :) Definitely wouldn't recommend falling asleep in class or being absent a lot. Study for the tests and you should do well. There's no assignments and he offers some extra credit. Pay attention in class!

His fun and joking demeanor should not be interpreted that his class will be a breeze. His tests are challenging and the study guide should be taken seriously. Reading should be done to understand the material and to have details and information to write down in his essays. Overall challending course, but not too bad if taken seriously.

He's always cheerful (though I did witness him kick out a sleeping student). For such a low level course, the difficulty was a bit high. He gives sheets with hundreds of "ID" terms that you are to study. However, the majority of them never even appear on the exam. I'm a good student, but his style caused me some problems.

LOVED HIM. Best/most interesting History teacher I've ever had. I wasn't interested in taking the class before hand, but I really liked his teaching style. 3 tests given. 35-40 multiple choice and 2 short essay. You get the choose the 2 essays out of 6 that you want to write on. You know the essay ?s before. I did better on the essays than M.C.

DAMN! This professors is HARD! I am a History major and think this guy can be over-challenging and takes out the fun in my favorite subject. He is not impossible but if you are not a History major be prepared to do WORK! I cannot believe people think he is hot! he is a grandpa and kinda ugly too!

Great professor. The class is all lecture. He lets you go early sometimes, extra credit is offered, and he takes attendance. There are three exams that make up your grade which are half multiple choice and half essay. I took decent notes and got an 'A'.

I can't believe someone gave him a hot rating. He is at least in his 50s. Anyways, his test are extremely hard. I went to every class, read every chapter, and studied my notes and I still got a C on my test. sucks! He is pretty interesting, but leaves out a lot of info in his lecture. Read the book
