WORSE PROFESSOR AND CLASS EVER! If you have ANY problems with your writing avoid him. His expectations is that you should share his views on the subject and will throughly tear apart your argument if you disagree with him. He also has a very limited idea of landscape and if your definition doesn't fit his good luck. I would avoid taking his class!

If you are thinking of taking a class with this professor take my advice... Don't do it! Reconsider if you want to actually get something out of the classes you are taking. He's the most uninteresting professor at this university. He should stick to being a historian and never teach again!

Okay,now let's be fair to Jack. I took Friday MORNING seminar with him and managed to get through without falling asleep once. Dr. Little made himself totally available to giving us help on our term papers, so I think it's fair he marks a bit hard. This guy knows his stuff, just don't expect him to be Will Ferrell or something, and you'll do fine.

Nice guy, but absolutely brutal lecturer! Bring yourself some coffee, redbull...whatever it takes to stay away and follow! When you write a paper make sure you know exactly what he wants to hear because your opinion doesn't count, and will actually hinder your mark. BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE Canadian history, hated his class. He picks favourites, listens to the men but is argumentative with the women. Changed his mind about final paper criteria AFTER papers were handed in. Boring, arrogant, empiricist, ****, old school. How did he become chair???Avoid him if possible!

Worst prof I've ever had. It's terribly disturbing that he's the department head. Brutal assignments, useless readings, and he often goes out of his way to insult the class, embarassing students who do poorly. A disaster!
