Dr. Dan was my lab prof, he's a great person. He is very helpful and is available outside of lab hours. The whole chem dept expects a lot from labs, so get help if you don't know what you're doing. Dr. Dan is a tough grader, but gives good feedback.

Dr. Dan the man! He is so helpful and genuinely cares about his students. He is very available after class and always has his door open to discuss chemistry or whatever you need. I really enjoyed his class.

Dr. Dan is such a cool and funny guy! He really cares about his students and wants them to do well. You for sure have to work hard to do well but he notices when you do! I had a family emergency during class once and I came back in at the end of class crying and he hugged me and told me to come to office hours so he could let me know what i missed.

Dr. Dan is the man! If you have the chance to take him for GenChem, do it. He explains the material well, gives helpful group work during class, is always willing to help and answer questions, and is overall a super friendly guy who wants to see his students do well. It is chemistry though, so you will have to work for an A, or even a B.

Dr. Dan was an awesome guy, always willing to work with me and help out as much as he could. The tests were impossible and the homework load is insane. The homework being is online, leaving answers right or wrong. + it was very annoying to have it due at certain due dates and times instead of it just being due the next class. Due times varied.

Seriously one of the best teachers I've ever had. Easy to approach, makes learning interesting, and also creates tests based on material learned. If you are a science major and need to take Chemistry you should without a doubt sign up for his class - but they fill up fast!

CHM2-Great class to be in. Funny regular guy. In-class quizzes aren't bad. His exams are very hard and a curve ball to say the least. I thought I aced one and ended up with a 76. If you can outsmart his tests (very difficult to do), you will get a good grade. I just took notes in class so I'd recommend reading the relevant textbook sections as well

He was an amazing Elon 101 teacher. He would cancel class so that we could go to cultural events. He treats everyone wit respect and as a friend as well as a teacher. Our class was even able to have dinner at his house once.

He's probably one of the greatest teachers at Elon!! If you have to take freshman chemistry, TAKE HIM!!! I slacked off in the class and got a B. If I had given any effort at all I would have aced the class. He gives TONS of extra credit and his tests are simple. He is a funny guy and a pleasure to listen to.

However, you have to be willing to put in A LOT OF EFFORT on your own part because chemistry is not easy! Dr. Dan is always available to help you out whenever you need it. The best Chemistry teacher you can get! I highly recommend him for all majors. Tests are multiple choice for the most part and helps you out whenever you want. Take him if he is open.

I was afraid of taking chemistry since I haven't had it in 3 years, but Dr. Dan made it so easy to remember! There is little note taking-just examples on the board. Homework almost every class, but it is online (WebAssign). Sometimes we get out of class early. Quiz maybe once or twice every 2 weeks. Tests are tough but you just need to study.

he is the most abstract professor and his grades are not based on anything you actually do in class. he assigns pointless projects and wants to do all sorts of favors for him. he also plays favorites and makes it really obvious. save yourself the agony and don't take any classes with him.
