This professor was absolutely terrible. The only grades you got were from tests, when he cancelled lecture you never received an email saying so, and his lectures had nothing to do with the tests. My roommate now, went to two lectures and received the same grade as I, who went to every lecture. We never knew what chapter we were on to actually read

Took his Bio 100 course during the 2015 Summer Session. Labs were online and super easy. Tests-not so much. Be prepared to study. i didnt particularly enjoy his humor but he sometimes had enjoyable stories. Ended up with a B- which was fine by me. Glad I took this over a regular semester-length science source.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! He is the rudest professor I have ever had and he was not helpful at all! He basically decides from the first moment he meets you weather he wants you to pass or not! Do not take him!

You don't really need to go to class, because all of his slides are on D2L. His exams are hard, and a little bit ridiculous. You have 50 minutes to take a 100 question exam, which has diagrams and pictures you need to refer to for multiple questions. He makes this class too serious, when it is mostly non-science majors that take it.

With out a doubt the worst Professors I've ever had. If he spent as much time teaching as he did making low brow "edgy jokes" or rambling about his personal life, the tests would be do able. Vague lectures and notes but in-depth tests. If you want to do well, get ready to independently research the topics, or get a tutor. Terrible gen ed choice

I just started this course and im already screwed. Don't take this class unless you have taken AP bio in high school. You have to teach yourself all the material to understand what he puts on the notes. He doesn't even fully explain the notes in his lecture.

I took Dr. Waber's Bio100 class over the winter session, and it was a very pleasant experience. The lab quizzes are super easy, but the 3 exams are pretty tough. He wont bite if you ask him for help, and despite being sexist sometimes, he is a really funny, cool guy. Get to know him and be his pal. He will help you out. I aced out of the final.

I took honors bio in high school and the material was pretty much identical. I didn't find the course too challenging, but I also put a decent amount of time in studying. He doesn't take attendance, but he also doesn't care if you come to class or not. There's no extra credit and your grade is based off of 3 tests, 10 lab quizzes and the final.

Unless you have to or you are willing to teach yourself all the material do not take this class. I only earned a B because i taught myself everything.

The class was hard for me but it turned out better than I expected and i ended up with a B-. You have to study for his tests and the final is cumulative. The tests are pretty much all of your grade, other than labs that all total to the weight of one test. I think hes funny because his sense of humor is rather raw. Not a terrible class.

This class was extremely tough. I made the mistake of taking it even though it had nothing to do with my major. PICK A DIFFERENT SCIENCE. The exams are extremely tough.

You HAVE to study! It helps to print out slides and bring them to class but you have to dive into the book for tests. You can't rely completely on the slides to pass the test. The book online is the worst. It's hard to read.

He's not a horrible person, although during office hours he can be a real jerk. I highly suggest getting a tutor, and this is not a class where you can cram the night before an exam and do well. It's tough, but hopefully you'll pass.

Use the books for the tests they will help you. Get ready for diagrams there is a lot of them. There is opportunity to test out of the final, so try to do well on the first three tests. His jokes are pretty out there too so be ready.

He's extremely unhelpful if you want to see him during office hours to go over a test. His tests are nearly impossible, you have to complete 100 questions in less than 50 min. He tries to make lecture lively and cracks some jokes, definitely print out the slides before class. Highly recommend not taking his class.

Dr. Waber, short and sweet, is not a bad teacher. He is talked up to be so terrible but if you go to lecture and understand basic biology, this course IS NOT THAT BAD. He tries to crack some jokes during lecture and makes analogies to understand the material better. He's definitely on a high horse but he knows what hes doing.

Comment:
Although my rating doesn't show it, professor Waber really isn't all that bad. If you have an issue, he will most likely help you, but tends to be a little rude with test questions. His tests are hard, but the information is provided, no surprises! TIP: Look over graphs and charts before tests.
