Straightforward course, he is extremely accessible outside of class. Exams are identical to homework but often consist of 3 problems split into 20 questions so make sure you review all of the topics. The homework solutions are short and often unclear so ask him questions to solidify your understanding. Lots of linear algebra. Good overall.

Hammer is a very serious professor. He writes on the board as if he were writing a textbook. His notes on board are vital. He does not always stick to the book, so come to class. He goes over a ton of stuff in the semester, and does not allow notes on tests, but his test are SUPER easy. He only gives 2 test a semester and no quizzes.

Had him for two classes. His lectures are dry and boring, sometimes he makes a few subtle jokes. His midterms will be easy, his finals are HARD (but he curves). He is very fair, if you do the homework you should be fine, though for an A you should attend lecture. VERY HELPFUL! If you go to his office hours, he will treat you with respect. Good guy.

Hammer is straight. His lectures were super boring. He basically writes down everything that pops in his mind! It's good because when studying you have all his thought process on paper. But writing it all down is annoying. easy midterm. Ridiculously hard final. great curve. You must put in the work if you want that A.

Boring class. Does not follow book method. 2 tests. Final is 55% and not easy. Class examples and wording don't match book or tests. TA grades hard. Make sure you know the difference between closed loop and open loop transfer functions and when to use them for each technique. Did not learn anything useful. Take Latchmen instead.
