I know her. She is a horrible teacher, and I don't think highly of her as a person. She intimidates and belittles those who will not stand up to her. Her outbursts and cruel remarks have caused many students to turn away from psych and from college, period. Stay away from her for as long as possible. Her collegues will tell you the same.

Dr. Cuevas gets a bad rap. If you are willing to work hard, then you should be okay. I have a feeling that a lot of people who don't like her are probably the ones who aren't used to or don't like the work she has you do, but if you do the work then you will learn a lot from her class.

She's tough, but if you care about your education, so does she. Dr. Cuevas gets a bad rap, but she is a good professor & very nice person. She is more than willing to help students in any way she can. Students who disagree either don't know her, don't care, or don't try.

If you like a Professor who lectures on material not related to the test then this is for you. Read the book and you'll have a chance to do well. Very opionated and self-righteous. Best not to argue with her on anything because you will lose right or wrong. Not helpful in any capacity.
