Lewis is a fantastic prof who will make you work hard for your grade. Although she doesn't have tests in the semester, she's a tough marker on written assignments but she gives great feedback. You HAVE to attend lectures because random things that happened in the semester will be on the final so if you don't go to class, don't expect an A/B.

For those who believe courses should be easy and without a challenge than stay away from Dr.Lewis. She will challenge you in the way all teachers should. If more courses were like hers then more students would enjoy coming to class. If I could recommend one class it would be 02-48-460. This was the best course I have ever had.

The hardest marker I have witnessed. Final exam review was, everything is testable. No exam throughout the course. Over 13 weeks of 3 hour lectures. 200 page text. 30 articles. The actual review was 50 multiple choice 2 short answer 1 Essay. I recieved a 66 on a paper 6 best in class.I have never seen so many failing grades ever. Poor prof.

This was one of the best classes I ever took at the University.She allowed students to voice their opinions without feeling judgement and that was awesome. Topics covered in class were always interesting and she treated us as her equals in the classroom, which was very refreshing at the undergrad level. Definatly take one of her upper year classes.

Lewis is a feminist, and will hate you if you are a male. The workload is incredible, other sections of 310 only had one major assignment, but she has 3, u have to do participant observaton, interviews and a content analysis, and I'm a straight A student and could only manage a B in this class, prolly cause im a guy..shes horrible, worst prof ever

Brutal. Really favoured females over males. Her tests were hard and the assignments were too much work for how little they were worth. Passionate about her stuff but expects everyone else to be as passionate. This is one of those profs. that thinks her class is the ONLY class you're taking....piles the work on you. Her lectures were clear though.

Good prof. Clear lectures. Stay up to date with the readings or suffer on the final! Must attend class to get notes, do the work on assignments and follow all of her rules to get the grades. Very approachable if you've done the work; very good with working out a plan for those with legit reasons for missing class/assignments.

I found this class very helpful, especially for students going on to grad school. The only students who complain about this class are those that don't want to work...do the work and you will get a good mark. And she is very approachable...if you've done the readings and the assignments she is very helpful!
