If you are an exchange or international student you must not take his class. He barely can speak english well. It would be so difficult for you to understand his bad accent. Even english speakers have difficulties understanding what he is trying to say. his classes are bored and a lot of text on his slides

Beware! Language is a problem. Will spend a whole lecture trying - in vain - to explain a point someone else would have used literally one sentence on. Homework has nothing to do with the material covered in lectures, so get ready to do a bunch of research on your own. Many times can't find the right slide in PPT, will jump around topics... Avoid!

My 4th (different) Yao class, and the worst one yet. He's taught me PROLOG twice now (two different classes) and I STILL don't understand it. Same with predicate calculus. I'm an A student, so what's the problem here? He has a gift for making things harder than they need to be. Horrid notes. Wandering lectures. Appears to be disorganized. Avoid!

350 was my third Yao class. Ease up on the philosophy man! Bad notes unless he used the text PP notes. He's good 1-1, but lectures go off topic. Smart/nice guy, but disorganized and his teaching suffers for it. He was late handing back asmts and exams, blaming the marker. Said "Its out of my hands." Sorry, I don't buy it; show some leadership.

Too much philosophy! His notes are awful. Gets off topic, and lectures tend to wander. It seems like he doesn't bother looking at the calendar when he assigns stuff. So we have midterms and asmts due on the same day, not enough time to complete all asmts, etc. If he were a more organized person, he'd be a better prof. Nice guy, though.

His notes has exactly no points. Not a very organized prof. Didn't come during office hour. Have to hand in assignment and report on the same day. Had to do midterm and hand in assignment on the same day, too. Well, he postponed the assignment, but he sent out the notice via email the weekened before it so nobody knows.

Essentially, If you have to take CS110, take it from this man. One of my friends slept through every class essentially never cracked the textbook and still passed with essentially an 80 or so. But for those who were essentially awake and could stand the driness, it was very rewarding. Essentially.

He's the best prof ever!!! The only way you can fail his class is if you were retarded to begin with. He explains everything so in depth that even if you had no experience before, you'd come out of this class having learnt something. Two thumbs up!!

Awesome Prof. I had no previous experience with C++. He did a very good at making it clear to n00b's like myself.
