This professor gives too much work that I cant keep track off! 4 assignments due every Tuesday and Thursday! If your not familiar with Access it might be difficult for you. The first half was learning about Microsoft word and excel was not as bad. I would suggest taking only this class because of the amount of assignment that is due!

This class is not about learning Java to me. It's like she is teaching us Project Management. While I appreciate learning Project management, I don't think it's necessary for an intro level Java class. I didn't like the assignment submission process/documentation requirements. Too much formalities for a class. I would suggest to change course name

Comment:

Professor Mehta reciprocates how much effort you put into the class, with that being said, I tried really hard to understand the material and Mehta was geninuely cared that I understood the concepts. The class is extremely difficult and if you're not willingly to make a honest effort in learning, this class is not for you.

I took Professor Mehta for Java and can honestly say I have never worked this hard in a class. Before you take this class ask yourself if you are truly willing to work to understand programming, and dedicate yourself to projects. The class IS difficult and you will absolutely have to work to pass, but after you understand Java and feel accomplished

Professor J is an amazing teacher. She thoroughly teaches the concepts and provides help to those that ask for it. However, the class is very time consuming. If you have other hard classes in your schedule, please reconsider taking this class. Believe me when i say it is very time consuming.

Not a fair grader nor would she bother to make small accommodations. Make sure to check your exam. She makes mistakes in deducting points when you have the right answers. She'll take off points from homework if you do not have the exact formula as the answer sheet even though you get the right answers. Hard to understand her lecture sometimes.

When taking this class, always remember the dates of the exams since the professor makes it a point not to remind the students at all. The text required is not all that useful with students who have prior experience with Microsoft Office.

HYBRID CLASS Show up to class AND pay attention AND do ALL your homework and you'll pass with an A. People complained that they didn't have enough time on the tests but if you know what you're doing then you'll be fine. Turn in your homework early and ask her for help if you need it. BOOK IS ESSENTIAL FOR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS. GREAT CLASS.

Extremely hard class. First half of semester she will give you tests, quizzes, projects, hw, to do. Towards the end of the semester it will be strictly projects because they get hard, and she'll only give a little less than 2 weeks to do. My advice, start the project early then when you're really stumped go to her office hours. She will help!

Tough, but worth it in the end. Main grade goes towards projects, about 8 total. First couple will be easier because she provides you with example projects that are similar. Towards the end she basically sends you on your own where you will use your knowledge up to date. Remember, use what she taught. She's a big fan of following HER rules

The teacher is good, she'll make you work yourself off. Her class is hard, I'm tellin ya!, but you will definitely know how to program at the end of the class, My programming skills in java improved in her class. Recommended if you already have a head start in java programming

This instructor ROCKS! I've taken several classes with her including VB - I wish she taught more CSI courses including Oracle. Shes work in industry and when asked she takes the course and shows you how to apply it at work - Love this instructor

Best programming professor I've ever had. She's not easy, though, she's very strict and there's LOTS of work in this class. (Almost a project every week.) However, she teaches you proper and responsible programming. This class was definitely hard, but it helped me a lot. Take her!
