Dr. Jasinski is a phenomenal professor. Many take his brusqueness the wrong way, when in reality he's just European. He is very helpful in class when it comes to trying the problems on your own. He teaches the material very clearly and is willing to go through and explain if a student got lost. There's a lot of homework but it DEF prepares you. GL

half the class dropped this course within two weeks because he is an awful teacher and doesn't require course evaluations for his class. he gives online homework after every class that doesn't match up to what you do in class or the quizzes which you get half the classes. Doesn't even know how to solve half the problems on the homework. don't take.

Constantly will show the wrong way to do something and then say oh don't do it this way. Gets many answers incorrect in class and has students recheck him. Lectures are purely powerpoint, which are dire for a math class. Webassign usage is horrific as it does not help students actually learn calculus. Nice guy and smart, just a bad teacher.

I took this course a few semesters ago and it was the hardest class I ever took in my life. I took it back when they used Webassign. He was very unclear during lectures and I questioned how I passed the course to this day. I switched my major the next year and took MATH 108 then and did SIGNIFICANTLY better in that course.

Very good guy. if you go to his office hours if you don't understand the information he is more than willing to help you even though the scenario is very awkward. he's not the best teacher but he is very nice, if you have mid make sure to make extensive appointments with a tutor

He is a very nice teacher, but he gets caught up in his own thoughts, he has a strong Russian accent, I have some trouble understanding him sometimes. He gives a lot of quizzes, almost every class, and homework online every class. There are 2 test a cumulative final, he's a fair grader, he's funny, but students constantly catch his mistakes.

Dr. J is a good teacher. He does his best to convey his knowledge to students, but sometimes he gets lost in his own train of thought and gets problems wrong. There are a lot of quizzes and I thought they were pretty hard. There are 2 tests, and the cumulative final. The tests are straightforward, but he will try to trick you. Avg test is low 80s.

Jakub was not my fave. I consider myself good student and did all the work but still struggled in the class. He is unclear and doesn't explain things thoroughly. he gives 2 tests, 10 quizzes, and online homework every night. if you have to take Calc 1, pick a different teacher.

I really don't know why other reviews don't like him, Dr. Jasinski is incredibly kind, and legitimately wants you to do well. I'm terrible atabsolutely hate math and didn't think it was that awful. He's a fair grader but there's a ton of quizzes, a few tests, and a pretty big amount of homework. Just put the work in, and you should be fine.

One of the worst professors I've had so far at The U. He is unclear when explaining materials and it seems as though he is not sure about what he is teaching. He often gets his math wrong. He does not answer his emails in a timely fashion so getting extra help is almost impossible. He gives three tests (one is online) and a final.

Goes on tangents sometimes, and is a little bit at a loss for words when lecturing, but the class is not hard if you do work. The homework which is all online is sometimes annoying but overall hes a good guy. not hard to get a good grade

Okay so he even messes up the problems he puts on the board. Don't buy the text book, he uses the online math lab. But he's a very unorganized teacher. If you do the work you will get a B because his tests have nothing he teaches you on it. Does not take attendance. BE PREPARED TO TEACH YOURSELF.

The best math teacher I've ever had. He is pretty difficult but for a good reason! You actually retain what he teaches you if you are motivated. He gives about 8 quizzes which are 30% of the grade, but you can do well on them if you work hard! Prepares you for tests and most importantly, the final. Highly recommended.

Difficult course with difficult topics. He doesn't take attendance but gives about 7-10 pop quizzes which account for 30% of your grade, so go to class! If you keep up and go to class you can do well
