Dr. Carroll is a very funny and engaging professor. He also really knows what he is talking about. This course was a 3 hour night class but he would let us out an hour. He is one of those memorable teachers that everyone has. Essays are huge but rare, so as long as you can apply some basic notes you took you will be fine.

I loved taking my history class with him! He assigns two papers, two tests, and a final. He has great passion for the subject he teaches and entertains you during the lectures! Take him!

idk what these people are talking about he is a complete and udder CARELESS MAN. i would always email him when i had a question or an issue and he would NEVER answer. when i final confronted him about it, asking if he reviewed the emails, his response was that he "didn't feel like responding back". DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS STUDENTS

Professor Carroll is the best. He makes class very interesting and funny by going off on short tangents. He is very sarcastic, but it's really funny. Only two tests and 4 essays. If you pay attention and give an effort you'll do fine.

I took him for HST 101 too and had to come back to 201 because I love him that much. As long as you do the essays and follow along in class you can't get anything below a B+.. unless you do nothing. Only two tests and two papers, both very easy! TAKE HIM

He is fantastic. I hated history before his class and learned a ton. I actually don't even dislike history so much anymore. Hes hysterical and has tons of stories about everything. Do the essays and study for the midterm and final you'll be set. <3

He's a big Liberal. That's ok though. I got a kick out of his propaganda. Great class though. One page of HW a week. Very fair grader. Class is more of a "listen and absorb" rather than a "overpower you with work" kind of class.

Br. Carroll is an entertaining, and easy teacher. I loved having him so much in the fall semester, I'm taking him again in the spring. He is a bit of a hard grader, but I've managed to pull out a B+, given that I didn't work too hard on my work. Take him if you can !!! 100%

Brother Carroll is much different than any other professor I had at Iona. If you take him, make sure you sit next to smart kids that listen and then use their knowledge in the final and midterm. His homeworks are pretty easy to BS. He is a bit narcissistic. I would reccomend taking him. However be prepared for the same jokes always being repeated.
