helpful in writing resumes. hes obsessed with his principles of communicating, which are useful but overly stressed. no real tests. most of the grade is in your group report, get a good group. we did not have class for about 2.5 weeks because he met with everyone individually about resumes and reports. recommend, easy A, if you do what he says

Dr. Cook is very funny and sometimes he gives you a easy task to do one day. He usually gives extra credits to help us not so worry about our bad grade. In general, you have to open your mind and participate when the discussions are taking place. I gurantee you that you will get an A so easy from him.

I had his class in conjunction with the new student core program. His class definately isn't the easiest class ever, but in no way really hard. He tries to make English fun. Some of his methods fall flat, but other succeed. I enjoyed his class.
