Great teacher! Had an amazing experience in this class. Mr. Dilisio is extremely knowledgeable is willing to answer any questions that you may have. Tests are not too hard just make sure to study! Yes there are weekly map quizes but they are extremely fair and not difficult at all! I recommend this class to anyone and everyone!!

Dilisio loves what he teaches!! Ask him a question remotely involving geography and he knows the answer! Tests are 75% and map quizzes are 25% of your grade. Tests are completely random information from lectures and readings, but he gives a study guide so its ok. Map quizzes are tedious, but they are easy A's if you study!

Good teacher, loves what he teaches. Once a week map quizzes and two exams. No homework other than to study the maps. Goes off on tangents during powerpoint lectures. Def easy A if u do well on the map quizzes and come to class.

Up side: class was interesting & I learned a lot.HUGE down side: I studied for hours to get a good grade and could only accomplish low 90s on the tests- questions different than lecture- I was disappointed with my grade after all the work I did- Take if you don't mind a B! Don't do well on map quizzes or read Economist magazine may only get C-UGH!!

Dr. Dilisio was not only a delight to have as a professor but also a thesis chair. He is patient, fair, even-tempered, and always willing to help. Definitely take a class with him, you won't be sorry and you'll have a great experience.

This class should be a 4 credit class. You have his lectures to study, map quizzes scheduled every week (sometimes you don't have to take them but he gives you no notice), and you have to read about 5 articles out of a magazine each week. All of these are tested on his tests. Take only if you're serious on the subject.

He talks a lot without class interaction, or at least not much interaction which makes it hard to pay attention but he covers the material well

His lectures are so clear and the notes are available on blackboard. There is one small map quiz a week that's VERY easy if you practice with the extra maps. He'll help you if you ask for it. You do have to be interested in learning about the world if you want to take the class. It's VERY boring otherwise.

Great prof. His lectures were clear and all available on blackboard. No reason not to do well in this course, unless you are lazy. Class consisted of 2 exams, a paper and two presentations. Don't worry you can sit when you present. Overall the best Geog. prof. I've had.

OK he is soo into the subject and thinks everyone else is, but NO ONE IS! It is so boring i have to pull my eyes open to stay awake. The tests are hard and S*** and there are only 3 tests including the final. Therefore u do bad on tests, you do bad in this class. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Good class - little discussion. A little annoyed by the final take home essay 3-4 pages and then an in-class essay. You gotta wonder if he realizes that geog 471 isn't your only class. Other than that - my second class with him, and I am planning to take a third.

Great class. But need to be interested in learning the world. Love knowing where countries, cities and rivers are on globe. Map quizes are easy. Spend about 1 hour studying and will do fine. Photographic memory will help. Test semi-easy. Study Place name book and take good notes. Good grade possible

Very very difficult class. I had trouble finding and learning about obscure countries like and Russia and Poland. Is there any reason to learn this stuff? I will go to cancun for my vacations, not Moscow. Get real prof.
