This is the worst class in the MBA program. The topic has potential, but Denise is an unenthusiastic and poor teacher. Her examples are uninteresting and dull. She attempts to engage, but always fails. Most of your grade comes from a "reflection journal." She teaches this class as though we are at a community college, not busy professional adults.

just lecture the whole class. you have 2 group projects which are relatively easy. attendance is worth a grade and you have to go. has small group questions once every other class. one midterm and one final. im a C student and I got a B- pretty easily

Overall she was alright. Her exams are TOUGH, no joke, and you need to read and the book and attend all lectures! She has 4 exams, a final, and one group paper. If you have an A going into the final then you dont have to take the final exam. As long as you do the readings and go to class, you'll be fine. Its prob better to take in the summer.

Got through the entire text and all the material she said she would cover in a very quick 6-week summer session. Exercises and discussions made it more interesting than I expected. Group paper a lot of work, but I learned the material better from that than the tests.

What a waste of time, I'm pretty sure I retained no knowledge from her class. Her tests maybe only had about 10% of covered material on it, the rest was alien to the whole class. And an assignment for every day.

I did not enjoy this class at all. Extremely boring lectures, ridiculous busy work. She says she doesn't try to trick students on tests, but that's exactly what she did. 4 Exams (highest counts as 15% of grade, lowest as 5%, others as 10%), 8-10 page group paper, final comprehensive exam. I wouldn't recommend it, but I got an A-.

Decent enough lecturer, but went overboard on journal requirements and expected an exact format without making it clear. Made a silly HR class way more work than it should have been. Nice lady though.

TAKE THIS CLASS IN THE SUMMER!!!!!!!! She is so easy.....just do the homework and come every time...I took it at night at it was literally a walk in the park! No papers, no presentations, yes, she makes you watch a ton on stupid movies...but who cares.....I've heard she is really hard during the school year...NOT in the summer!
