Good teacher that is very knowledgeable about economics. This class is not easy, but if you do all the work and study you will get a good grade. 3 Tests and a final. Gives 10 points extra credit.

Dry humor but a good professor. You MUST come to class and pay attention. The class is not difficult though. Take notes and understand the graphs and you will get at lowest a B in the class. He gives a study guide which tells you exactly what will be on the exam. There are A LOT of graphs so make sure you understand them. 3 exams that's it.

Strict but fair grader. He is not a negligent professor, he just expects college students to take responsibility for their educations; too many people at Towson expect to be coddled by professors. You are supposed to teach yourself sometimes. He is obviously knowledgeable and respected in his field; he works for CATO Institute in DC.

not a good teacher at all.. gives you the basics and you have to pretty much be your own teacher. he provides study guides but how he words things on the test can be very difficult to understand. avoid him if you can.. makes economics much harder than it actually is

Dry professor but as long as you can read the book and understand graphs you should ace all the tests. Grading is three tests and that is all. Recommended if you have interest in econ.

Class is seriously so hard... find someone else to take it with! So dry and boring, especially so early. You cannot follow him because he makes microeconomics seem way harder than it should be. You teach yourself basically from the work book. He offers help, but hes rude and intimidating so I would feel too stupid to ask. Avoid if you can.

amazing! attendance taken but not mandatory, he uses it to compare the grades of students who went to class vs. those who didnt. gives some xtra credit. lectures can get a little boring but attending class really helps. gives study sheets that are so similiar to test. 3 tests and a final. an A is easily obtatinable if u attend class and take notes

I LOVE professor Dorn! He's the bomb. Seriously, he's who helped me realize that I wanted to major in ECON. The material is really the fundamentals of ECON; drawing supply and demand lines on graphs is as technical as it gets. I had him for two Econ classes- got A's on both. He doesn't like when people sleep!

So, I worked my butt off in this class and I got a C. Good Luck! Hes a good professor and extremely well known, but I think he gives you the basics and you have to teach yourself.Pretty much the whole class is based off of the 3 exams and one final. A couple of little papers worth like 2 points. So you HAVE to do well on all of the exams

Really good teacher. In class you just do the workbook which is boring but really helpful. He gives a lot of practice tests which a lot of the test questions come from and he always gives review sheets that have the exact information for the test. You do have to study for the tests but other than that theres no other work. Good teacher.

He was a great teacher, I just didn't understand the information. He was very helpful during his office hours. I failed the first test miserably but he weighted it so it didn't hurt my grade after seeign that I did well on the next two tests. He gave some extra credit that could bring up a test another letter grade. FINAL WAS HARD-STUDYSTUDYSTUD

Prof Dorn is a good teacher, gives 10 pts extra credit througout semester. Tests are relatviely easy if you attend every class, he gives you the review and everything on review is on test. so just go to class ask questions and should do relatively well

This guy is a really great teacher. He's clear and direct with exactly what he expects in class and on the test. The workbook is a life saver, anything you need to know is in it. Don't even waste your money with the text book. This grade won't be handed to you, but if you just go to class and pay attention it is no sweat.

Don't take him early in the morning. He is great if you are into the subject but not so much if you're taking it because you have to. Uses a workbook a lot but not so much the actual textbook. Lots of notes, and tries to be helpful, clearly knows a lot, but doesn't grab your attention, making it hard ot pay attention at 8 AM.

Great professor! He explains everything clearly, and is extremely passionate about economics. Loves to talk about how universal healthcare sucks, which he goes on to exlain. He knows his stuff. Don't really need the textbook, use the workbook & study his handouts! The reviews he hands out before exams are really helpful.

At first I'll just say the class was easy. He'll explain anything you need him to, over and over. HOWEVER-he is a totally arrogant conservative who tries to impose his political views by pretending they are economic facts. WHICH REALLY BOTHERS ME! He always knocks universal health care by saying that we will pay for it w/ taxes..i ran out of space.

He takes attendence every class just for calculate the distribution of attending classes and grades gotten. Textbooks are useful to read but the workbook and review sheet will be more important. Take him, he likes to show pictures and tell stories. Final is comprehensive but that is final! you'll get extra credit.
