Dr. Towns is a very nice and caring guy. I skipped his class many times though bc you can pass and not go. He made an outline of the textbook. His tests are list and explain. Its all memorization and hell give you a guide. So after you receive the guide theres really no reason to attend class. He means well and does have great life advice though

The entire course is based off of a 130 page textbook that Town's has written himself. In order to pass his exams (of which your entire grade is based on), you essentially need to memorize this textbook. The exams are 'fill in the blank' but would better be described as a regurgitation of the textbook.

Half the class would skip and guy is always off topic rambling about stuff that has nothing to do with anything. Nobody cares bro. Reminded me of a high school class. how is this guy even a college professor? not even gonna get started on his memorization tests. legit the class textbook is a book that he created out of his own bias.

I would not take his class again. He's a nice guy and all but the test are: list the principles of so and so and then you have to list them out. He also will put random things on the test you didn't study for, if you are good at memorizing then this is the class for you.

I would take any class he taught!! When I had him as a professor in the early 80's, he made classes so much fun that you didn't want to skip them!! Even when I took his Death and Dying sociology class, his personality made it a pleasant experience!! Even now, over 30 years later, I still remember "by an act of my will...", and I smile!!

I took his M class once a week and he's very enthusiastic. Don't be late, pay attention, he lectures over what will be on the test. Do NOT buy the textbook, he prefers his outline. His tests were fill in the blank so there is some difficulty but he grades easily. He makes class fun, only 4 tests.

Dr. Towns is very enthusiastic with the subject that he teaches. I personally thought he did a great job at trying to engage the class. Some of the things he teaches are kind of irrelevant but as long as you study the book outline, you will pass EASILY. Take this class for an easy A!

Dr. Towns can be really boring but also really wants you to succeed. His test is multiple choice and mainly from the book. Read the book and do the online activities you should be able to pass.

His lectures are long and boring. He tends to rant on topics that don't have anything to do with his lectures. I would advise taking this class, but not with this professor. His tests are list and explain, and there is no study guide.

Hardest class I have ever taken. He is a great man, but the class is too tough. I made a 90 on every assignment and an 85 on one test and came out with an 89. He will not bump it up. I want to say that his personality makes the class worth it, but it is affecting my GPA in a bad way. I hate to give this man a bad review, but the class is hard.

Great class from a great professor. Always clear with his expectations and really cares that students learn. Would highly suggest students take any class that he is teaching. Ten years after taking this class I'm still using valuable lessons he taught!

If you have a disability he won't help you one bit. Worst required class i have ever taken in sfa the test he literally gave you blank pages and tells you to repeat your notes on the page would not recommend. I dropped after the first test.

I mean the guy is okay except he believes that everyone has the amazing gift of photographic memory when it comes to test. The test are list and explain and i really mean it. If you have the great gift of photographic memory then take the class and if not AVOID THIS CLASS!!!!!

Mr. Towns will make you look into yourself farther than any other class you will take in college. He has been the most respectfull and trustworthy instructor I have come across on campus. Mr. Towns has a set of beliefs that are no longer accepted 100% by todays youth. nevertheless he sticks by his beliefs and encourages others to succeed. A1 man

Amazing professor he is a really sweet and interesting guy who tells A LOT of stories. The tests are just the stuff from the print out notes but be ready for A LOT of writing because they are 100% written questions, no multiple choice. If i would've paid attention and studied more i would've made an A. Take him he's a great guy.

AVOID THIS CLASS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! Probably the most boring class I have ever had in college. The professor is really nice, but literally makes up everything and it all sounds the same which makes it super confusing! The tests are all list and explain with only about 15 questions on each test. This class was awful! Don't do it!
