Gillespie is by turns insipid and bizarre. My favourite part of FACS 1900 was when he called "security" because a student was talking. A couple minutes later the Tech assistant showed up, coffee mug in hand.

the best part was that when I took my exam and mid term he shook my hand, and said "you did great" I thought that was really nice, in fact it made the whole class seem a lot nicer. That why I like Gillespie, though arts and ideas was not a great

Gillespie is a sculpture prof who ended up teaching art history by accident. BIG WHOOPS! He's an okay guy in person, talking socially, but he's really not good when speaking to large crowds... he mumbles and says UM and AH a lot.

I have no doubt Gillespie is an intelligent man. I also have no doubt he should not be a prof. He has problems linking concepts and throws in too much useless information. It is very hard to see where he is going with a concept and to follow his lectures.

Finished the course and I still don't know what it was about! Uses confusing language - too advanced for first year. Lectures for 1/2 hr-1hr, 2 hours of crazy videos. No connection between the lectures, readings, assignments and videos.
